Systems and methods for mobile charging of electric vehicles
A method, a system, and a computer readable medium for managing recharging of a shared electric vehicle are provided. The method includes determining whether an energy storage device of the electric vehicle requires charging, identifying a charging method based on a plurality of parameters including an ambient temperature, a current state of charge, a current load, and a power estimate for a planned route, altering the planned route of the electric vehicle to enable charging based on the identified method, and charging a second energy storage device associated with a second electric vehicle during transit via the electric vehicle. The charging method includes swapping electric vehicles, exchanging the energy storage device, and charging via a charging bot.
Crowd sensing for elevator systems
An aspect includes capturing crowd data associated with a lobby area of an elevator system. A dispatching schedule of one or more elevator cars of the elevator system is adjusted based on the crowd data. A notification of the adjustment to the dispatching schedule is output.
Method and system for scheduling elevator cars in a group elevator system with uncertain information about arrivals of future passengers
A method schedules elevator cars in a group elevator system in a building by first generating a set of probability distributions for arrivals of future passengers at any floor of the building, wherein the set of probability distributions are characterized by probabilistic variables that specify arrival information of the future passengers, wherein the arrival information includes a probability of service requests by the future passengers and a probability of possible times of the service requests. A schedule for the elevator cars is based on the set of probabilistic distribution. Then, the schedule is provided to a controller of the group elevator system to move the elevator cars according to the schedule.
Forecasting elevator passenger traffic
According to an aspect, there is provided a method for forecasting elevator passenger traffic of an elevator group. The method comprises training a statistical traffic model describing a traffic profile for a specific cycle with historical timestamped origin-destination passenger counts, obtaining timestamped origin-destination passenger counts for a current cycle, generating an elevator passenger traffic forecast based on the trained statistical traffic model and the timestamped origin-destination passenger counts for the current cycle, and outputting the elevator passenger traffic forecast for use by an elevator group control.

LAST-MINUTE HALL CALL REQUEST TO A DEPARTING CAB USING GESTURE
Provided are embodiments of a system and method for performing a last-minute hall call request to a departing cab using gestures. The embodiments include a sensing device that is in communication with a processor, wherein the sensing device is configured to monitor and detect a gesture from a potential passenger, and a processor configured to process video data received from the sensing device. The embodiments also include a video analyzer configured to predict a hall call request based at least in part on the gesture, and a controller is configured to control an operation of the system based at least in part on predicting the hall request.
System and Method for Controlling Motion of a Bank of Elevators
The present disclosure provides a system and a method for controlling motion of a bank of elevators. The method includes accepting current requests for service by the bank of elevators, accepting a partial trajectory of a motion of a person moving in an environment serviced by the bank of elevators, and obtaining a probability of a future elevator request. The method further includes processing the partial trajectory with a neural network trained to estimate a weighted combination of probability density functions that indicates an arrival time distribution of the person, and generating a set of possible future requests jointly representing the probability of the future elevator request and the arrival time distribution. The method further includes optimizing a schedule of the bank of elevators to serve the current requests and the set of possible future requests, and controlling the bank of elevators according to the schedule.
Occupant-based intelligent elevator actions
A method, system, and computer program product for occupant-based elevator actions are provided. The method identifies a set of subjects approaching a set of elevators to generate a set of identities for the set of subjects. A set of initial priority statuses are generated for the set of subjects. Based on the set of identities and the set of initial priority statuses, an elevator dispatch solution is determined. The method updates at least a portion of the initial priority statuses to generate a set of subsequent priority statuses in response to a subset of subjects entering at least one elevator. The method determines an isolation response for a first subject of the subset of subjects and modifies the elevator dispatch solution based on the isolation response to generate an isolation dispatch solution. The at least one elevator executes the isolation dispatch solution.
