End-to-end cognitive elevator dispatching system
A method and system for controlling elevator dispatch is provided. User data, including user behavior, is collected from a number of users over a specified time period. Elevator use data for a number of elevators in a building is also collected over the specified time period. Applying the user data and elevator use data, an elevator dispatch model is constructed that predicts future elevator use according to predicted user needs. An elevator control system dispatches the elevators according to the dispatch model. The elevator dispatch model is refined according to feedback data collected from users over a subsequent time period.
Wireless signal device, system and method for elevator service request
A wireless signal device, a system and a method for an elevator service request are provided, which belong to the field of elevator technologies. The wireless signal device according to the present invention is mounted in a landing zone and receives an elevator service request command from a personal mobile terminal. The wireless signal device comprises a service control unit configured to, in an elevator dispatching service process arranged in response to a first elevator service request command received previously, disable the elevator controller from responding to a second elevator service request command received later for controlling the elevator dispatching service in the elevator dispatching service process if the second elevator service request command has the same elevator call direction as the first elevator service request command.
Crowd sensing for elevator systems
An aspect includes capturing crowd data associated with a lobby area of an elevator system. A dispatching schedule of one or more elevator cars of the elevator system is adjusted based on the crowd data. A notification of the adjustment to the dispatching schedule is output.
USAGE AND CONTEXTUAL-BASED MANAGEMENT OF ELEVATOR OPERATIONS
Processes, apparatuses, and systems associated with usage and contextual-based elevator operations management are disclosed herein. The operations management system may have the capability to learn and to constantly adapt to usage patterns on a temporal basis through continuous monitoring of elevator journeys. In embodiments, an elevator journey may include a start and termination floor for an individual. This data may be used to predict patterns of usage and maybe used, for example, to optimize the number of elevators operational at any time, determine the optimal parking position of each elevator, and/or determine an efficient allocation of elevators to groups or related floors. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Video analytics based advanced elevator dispatching
A method of operating a building elevator system having a plurality of elevator systems organized into an elevator group including: detecting crowd data within an elevator lobby proximate the elevator group on a landing; determining a level of crowdedness in response to the crowd data; determining at least two elevator cars of the plurality of elevator systems are required in response to the level of crowdedness; dispatching an elevator car of a first elevator system of the plurality of elevator systems to the landing; dispatching an elevator car of a second elevator system of the plurality of elevator systems to the landing; and coordinating an arrival time of the elevator car of the first elevator system at the landing and an arrival time of the elevator car of the second elevator system at the landing.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A TRANSPORT SYSTEM AND CORRESPONDING TRANSPORT SYSTEM
A transport system may include at least two conveyor sections and at least three cars that are moved individually in a cyclical operation. Each car may pass through a first conveyor section starting from a first start position and subsequently pass through a second conveyor section back to the first start position. At least one stopping point may be provided at least along a conveyor section, and one or more subsequent stopping points may respectively be assigned to a block. Travel of the cars may be controlled such that the cars successively approach a respective previously-specified block, and an equal cycle time is predefined for every car to pass through the first and second conveyor sections. A method for operating a transport system in this manner is also disclosed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PARKING ELEVATORS
A method for positioning a plurality of elevator cars that includes determining an occupant count for each of a plurality of locations, by determining the number of occupants exiting the plurality of elevator cars at each of the plurality of locations and the number of occupants entering the plurality of elevator cars from each of the plurality of locations. The method includes moving at least one of the plurality of elevator cars to a first location with a total occupant count that is greater than the occupant count at each respective location of the plurality of locations when the at least one of the plurality of elevator cars is in an inactive state.
Forecasting elevator passenger traffic
According to an aspect, there is provided a method for forecasting elevator passenger traffic of an elevator group. The method comprises training a statistical traffic model describing a traffic profile for a specific cycle with historical timestamped origin-destination passenger counts, obtaining timestamped origin-destination passenger counts for a current cycle, generating an elevator passenger traffic forecast based on the trained statistical traffic model and the timestamped origin-destination passenger counts for the current cycle, and outputting the elevator passenger traffic forecast for use by an elevator group control.
Computing allocation decisions in an elevator system
A method and an apparatus for computing allocation decisions in an elevator system is provided. Historical passenger batch journey data relating to the elevator system is obtained, wherein each passenger batch journey includes an origin and a destination floor of the journey, the number of passengers of the journey and the time of the journey. Historical passenger traffic statistics are constructed based on the passenger batch journey data, and expected calls are modelled based on the passenger traffic statistics. The modelled expected call is taken into account in computing subsequent allocation decisions in the elevator system.
