Method and apparatus for monitoring a state of a passenger transport system by using a digital double
This application relates to a method and an apparatus for monitoring a state of a passenger transport system such as, for example, an escalator. The method includes monitoring the state of the passenger transport system using an updated digital double data record that reflects characterizing properties of components of the passenger transport system in an actual configuration of the passenger transport system in a machine-processable manner after the assembly and installation thereof in a building. The updated digital double data record can be obtained, for example, by accurately surveying the passenger transport system and using signal values from sensors housed in the passenger transport system, and allows conclusions as to the present or future state of the passenger transport system, based on which maintenance measures can be planned efficiently and adequately.
MONITORING SYSTEM FOR A PASSENGER CONVEYOR
A monitoring system for a passenger conveyor is provided. The passenger conveyor includes a motor for driving the passenger conveyor and an inverter for supplying current to the motor. The monitoring system includes a current sensor for detecting the current supplied to the motor; a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the motor; a data collecting device for receiving detected data from the current sensor and the temperature sensor; and a controller connected to the data collecting device. The controller is configured to calculate an idle operation motor torque during an idle operation of the passenger conveyor based on current and temperature detected during the idle operation; and determine that a fault exists in the passenger conveyor when a difference between the idle operation motor torque and a reference motor torque exceeds a predetermined threshold.
ESCALATOR EQUIPMENT ALERT METHOD AND ESCALATOR EQUIPMENT ALERT SYSTEM
An escalator equipment alert method and an escalator equipment alert system are disclosed. The method includes: activating a camera disposed on an entrance of an escalator equipment; capturing a foot image of a passenger about to board the escalator equipment through the camera; performing an image analyzation on the foot image to detect a danger boarding behavior related to the passenger; and in response to the danger boarding behavior, issuing an alert message matched with the danger boarding behavior through an alert device.
Selective wireless escalator data acquisition
A monitoring system for monitoring an escalator is provided. The monitoring system including: a local gateway device; and a sensing apparatus in wireless communication with the local gateway device through a short-range wireless protocol, the sensing apparatus including: an inertial measurement unit sensor configured to detect acceleration data of the escalator.
Escalator with distributed state sensors
Disclosed is an escalator system having: escalator steps; and a plurality of state sensors including a master sensor and slave sensors, wherein the slave sensors are secured to different ones of the escalator steps, wherein the master sensor is configured to: receive slave sensor data from the slave sensors; and transmit data to an escalator call center upon detecting an occurrence of a fault condition from the slave sensor data.
Systems for Actively Monitoring Lift Devices and Maintaining Lift Devices, and Related Methods
Systems and methods are provided for monitoring one or more conveyance devices, such as elevators and escalators. A server obtains maintenance data, inspection data and performance data about a given conveyance device via a web portal. At least a portion of this information is in a first format. The server reformats this portion of information into a second format using a mapping table, outputting reformatted data. The server populates a graphical user interface (GUI) with the reformatted code events. The GUI is accessible by another computing device over the Internet.
SPEED MONITORING DEVICE OF A PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to a speed monitoring device for measuring a rotational frequency or rotational speed of a main drive shaft of a passenger transportation system. For this purpose, said speed monitoring device comprises at least one rotational speed sensor having an input shaft, a pinion, and a tapping device which can be arranged on a shaft casing surface of the main drive shaft of a passenger transportation system. Furthermore, there is also a bracket for attaching the rotational speed sensor and the pinion in a stationary position relative to an axis of rotation of the tapping device, the tapping device having a gearing which can be coupled to the pinion in a rotation-transmitting manner, and the pinion being rotatably mounted in the bracket at two bearing areas.
Enhancing elevator sensor operation for improved maintenance
Methods and systems for enhancing sensor operation are provided. Aspects includes obtaining, by a primary sensor, primary sensor data associated with an electrical mechanical system, obtaining, by at least one secondary sensor, secondary sensor data associated with the electrical mechanical system, and analyzing the primary sensor data responsive to a determination of a predetermined state of the electrical mechanical system based on the secondary sensor data.
PASSENGER TRANSPORT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A PASSENGER TRANSPORT SYSTEM
A passenger transport system having a conveyor belt is described. The passenger transport system comprises at least one handrail and a fastening device for a protective device in the region of the handrail end curve. A control unit blocks the operation of the passenger transport system in one direction of travel on the basis of a sensor signal, such that, if there is at least one protective device in the region of the handrail end curve, the direction of travel in which the handrail runs into the protective device is blocked. A method for controlling a bidirectional passenger transport system is also described.
