Expanding an elevator system in a hoistway of a building including: parking an elevator car at or below a first level, between a first rail system extend along first wall of the hoistway and a second rail system extending along a second wall of the hoistway that is opposite the first wall; raising the second rail system to the second level; supporting an elevator machine with a bedplate; the elevator machine is operatively connected to a machine end of a tension system; and the tension system is operationally connected to the elevator car; engaging a first safety block, operatively connected to the bedplate, to release the second rail system; and raising the bedplate to the second level.

The elevator car frame includes a top, a bottom and uprights extending between the top and the bottom and deviating from a longitudinal middle portion of the elevator car frame, and at least one of the uprights is provided with car guide shoes arranged to enable the elevator car frame, after being installed in an elevator hoistway, to move along a car guide rail disposed in the elevator hoistway through the car guide shoes.

The elevator system includes a support column, with the bottom end thereof connected to a bottom mounting base, and the top end thereof connected to a top mounting base; a counterweight arranged in the support column; a car having a through hole penetrating in a vertical direction, wherein the car is arranged around the support column via the through hole; and a traction assembly, wherein the car is connected to the counterweight via the traction assembly, and the car and the counterweight reciprocate along the length direction of the support column under the traction of the traction assembly.

The elevator system includes a support column, with the bottom end thereof connected to a bottom mounting base, and the top end thereof connected to a top mounting base; a counterweight arranged in the support column; a car having a through hole penetrating in a vertical direction, wherein the car is arranged around the support column via the through hole; and a traction assembly, wherein the car is connected to the counterweight via the traction assembly, and the car and the counterweight reciprocate along the length direction of the support column under the traction of the traction assembly.
LIFT SYSTEM
An elevator system includes a first lane oriented in a first direction, a second lane oriented in a second direction, a car configured to travel in the first and second lanes, a repositioning unit configured to reposition the car from the first lane to the second lane and from the second lane to the first lane, and a plurality of guide rails disposed in each of the first and second lanes that are configured to guide the car along each of the first lane and the second lane. The plurality of guide rails includes a plurality of rucksack guide rails configured to guide the car when it is at least one of already on the repositioning unit, entering the repositioning unit, or exiting the repositioning unit, and a plurality of lateral guide rails configured to guide the car when it is not in the repositioning unit.

A system for transferring elevator cars from a first elevator shaft to a second elevator shaft including: a first propulsion system configured to move a first elevator car through the first elevator shaft; a transfer carriage configured to move the first elevator car and the first propulsion system from the first elevator shaft to the second elevator shaft through a transfer station, the transfer carriage including: an elevator car containment slot to receive the first elevator car and the first propulsion system when the elevator car containment slot is aligned with the first elevator shaft, wherein the first propulsion system is configured to move the first elevator car and the first propulsion system from an elevator system within the first elevator shaft onto the transfer carriage to a vehicle workstation.
METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING ELEVATOR AND ELEVATOR
The invention relates to a method for constructing an elevator, comprising providing an elevator car; providing plurality of prefabricated hoistway modules to be piled on top of each other, each hoistway module bordering a hoistway space into which the whole elevator car or at least an upper or lower end thereof can be fitted to move; and piling said plurality of prefabricated modules on top of each other, such that the hoistway spaces of the prefabricated modules are vertically aligned forming a continuous vertically elongated hoistway where the elevator car can be fitted to move; and arranging the elevator car to be vertically movable in the hoistway. The invention also relates to an elevator obtained with the method.
Solution for displacing an elevator car
An apparatus for displacing an elevator car from its pathway includes a rotational vehicle configured to rotate around an axis of rotation and at least one guide rail section mounted with the rotational vehicle along, which at least one guide rail section the at least one elevator car is arranged to travel. The at least one guide rail section is mounted substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotational vehicle. The rotational vehicle is configured to rotate 90 degrees. An elevator system is also disclosed.
Elevator system
An elevator system is provided including a hoistway having a plurality of landings. An elevator car is configured to move within the hoistway between the plurality of landings. A plurality of guide rails guide movement of the elevator car and a counterweight within the hoistway. Each guide rail includes a base and a blade. A machine assembly is mounted within the hoistway and includes a traction sheave rotatable about an axis. The traction sheave is configured to drive movement of the elevator car between the plurality of landings. At least one of the plurality of guide rails is arranged in an overlapping configuration with the machine assembly such that a plane defined by the base of the guide rail is parallel to the axis and intersects a portion of the traction sheave.
