According to one embodiment, a cleaning head for cleaning a plurality of hoisting belts and/or at least one sheave of an elevator system is provided. The at least one sheave includes a plurality of grooves for receiving each of the hoisting belts. The cleaning head comprises a base plate and a plurality of wipers fixed to an upper end of the base plate to project outwards from the base plate. The cleaning head may be used to clean the plurality of hoisting belts at once and/or the plurality of grooves of the at least one sheave at once.

The cleaning pads are configured to contact and clean a surface of the sheave when the cleaning pads are on a second, opposite side of the load bearing members.

The invention is directed to an elevator track cleaner. The track cleaner is provided in a rectangular scrub brush configuration, providing a platform with a raised handle affixed to the top surface. The bottom surface provides a longitudinal band of stiff, flexible bristles along the centerline, and two longitudinal bands of small hooks on either side of the bristles for the purpose of securing a flexible white scrub pad. The pad is used to scrub the elevator track, with the bristles urging the pad into the groove where the track is located.
