Carriage and a sliding support apparatus for a stairlift
A carriage (1) for a stairlift is configured for sliding along a support guide (2). The carriage (1) comprises a concave shaped frame (101), defining a seat (S) for housing at least a part of said guide (2); at least one upper roller (102), mounted on an upper portion of said frame (101) to be rotatably engageable resting on an upper surface of a head portion (201) of the guide (2); a rolling member (103), mounted on a lower portion of the frame (101) to be rotatably engageable with a lower surface of a base portion (203) of the guide (2); and first and second lower rollers (104a, 104b), mounted on the frame (101) in the proximity of the rolling member (103) in such a way as to be engaged or can be engaged in rolling movement respectively on a first lateral surface (203a) and a second lateral surface (203b) of the base portion (203) of the guide (2).
Method of planning platform lift
A method of planning a platform lift, in particular a stairlift, at a stair, the platform lift including a rail, a platform, in particular a chair, a drive unit for driving the platform along the rail, wherein the platform is attached to the drive unit. The method includes acquiring 3D stair data of a stair on which the platform lift is to be installed; calculating based on the acquired 3D stair data a path of travel of the rail, and by retrieving manufacturing constraints, in particular from a database, calculating a feasible path of travel under consideration of the retrieved manufacturing constraints.
Stairlifts
A mechanically-based arrangement for locking a stairlift chair relative to a stairlift carriage in the event of a failure within the drive that is provided to maintain the chair level as the stairlift is in operation. The arrangement uses inter-engaging components that are engaged and dis-engaged in timed relationship to rotation of the levelling motor. At all times at least one set of inter-engaging components are engaged.
A STAIRLIFT, FOR TRANSPORTING A LOAD ALONG A STAIRCASE
A stairlift with an elongated rail includes a first side running surface and a second side running surface; and a carriage movable along the rail. The carriage having a first roller including a first roller friction surface which is in frictional engagement with the first side running surface for guiding the first roller; and a second roller including a second roller friction surface which is in frictional engagement with the second side running surface for guiding the second roller; and a first bridge. The first roller being rotatable around a first axis at a first end of the first bridge and the second roller is being rotatable around a second axis at a second end of the first bridge.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DESIGNING A STAIR LIFT RAIL ASSEMBLY
In a method and system of designing a stair lift rail assembly to be mounted on a three-dimensional structure, a light beam including an optical pattern on at least part of the structure is projected from a reference location relative to the structure. Light from the structure is detected. Image data of the structure are generated based on the detected light. The image data are processed to generate a set of map data of the structure, the set of map data representing a three-dimensional map of the structure. Spatial path of the stair lift rail and locations of support interfaces for the stair lift rail assembly in the three-dimensional map are determined. Design of the stair lift rail assembly is generated based on the spatial path of the stair lift rail and the locations of the support interfaces for the stair lift rail assembly.
STAIRLIFT
A stairlift for moving along a staircase having: a curved rail having a centre line, a load bearing surface, and a carriage including a first and a second guiding unit connected to each other by a connecting unit. The second guiding unit is connected to the connecting unit via a third rotation joint about a third axis and a fourth joint about a fourth axis, the connection unit includes a fifth rotation joint about a fifth axis. The fifth axis extending from outside the rail to an area close to or on the centre line of the rail in a first plane close to or on the third and the fourth axis.
Stairlift carriage and a stairlift
A stairlift for conveying a load along a staircase includes a stairlift guide (stairlift rail), a carriage carried by the stairlift guide and moveable along the stairlift guide, the carriage comprising a carriage drive to drive the carriage along the stairlift guide. A stairlift carriage with reduced energy consumption comprises a body of revolution mounted hingably about a first axis to a frame of the stairlift carriage, while being able to rotate about an axis of rotation at a distance from said first axis.
IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO STAIRLIFTS
A friction drive stairlift has a pair of drive wheels in frictional engagement with an upper surface of a stairlift rail. The drive wheels are mounted to rotate in a vertical plane passing through the centreline of the stairlift rail. The rail is preferably formed from two substantially parallel tubes and the carriage is maintained perpendicular to that part of the rail with which it is in contact at any particular time.
Lift for telescopic passenger stairs for boarding passengers in wheelchairs on a plane
A lift apparatus for telescopic passenger stairs enabling disabled passengers with impaired mobility to board a plane and to telescopic aeroplane passenger stairs with the said lift. The lift apparatus moves the lift regardless of the degree of extension of the telescopic staircase, with a moveable guide rail installed into a lower staircase, which can travel to the top of an upper staircase if needed. The guide rail in the lower part serves as a fixed guide rail for the lifting platform, onto which a passenger in a wheelchair is wheeled, wherein the platform moves along the guide rail. When the platform reaches the end of the guide rail, it is locked in place, after which the guide rail itself then moves along the track of the upper part of the staircase, wherein it is connected to the guide rail via wheels. The described movement is enabled by a system comprising an endless chain, guide rollers and wheels, a drive sprocket and a drive, and the said guide rail.
Telescopic staircase system and uses thereof
The invention relates to a telescopic staircase to be installed on construction sites for providing a safe staircase for workers during building construction. The telescopic staircase comprising at least one lateral guard comprising a top rail, a bottom rail and at least two newels, the bottom rail having a plurality of connecting holes, and a plurality of tread assembly comprising a tread plate, at least two stringer portions and at least two pairs of support members, each support member having at least one connecting hole, in which the at least one lateral guard includes a first portion being retractable into and extensible from a second portion, in which each support member substantially forms a 45° angle with the tread plate, and in which the support members are to be attached to the top surface of the bottom rail via attachment means through the connecting holes.
