A connection assembly for modular construction includes an upper junction connector coupled to an upper end of a column. The upper junction connector includes an upper end that has a planar upper surface, a recessed surface, and at least one connector sidewall extending between the upper surface and the recessed surface. The recessed surface and the at least one connector sidewall define a contiguous recessed area in the upper end that extends to second, third, and fourth edges of the upper end of the connector. A slot extends through the upper end adjacent to an interior surface of a column sidewall. A transverse bore extends through the first column sidewall proximate to and aligned with the slot.

Apparatus for lifting and moving a rail

A rail lifting head (10) comprises a head gate member (20) defining a gate aperture (22), a rail support member (24) removably secured to the gate member (20) and adapted to support a rail vertically within the gate aperture (22), and a head cartridge (100) which is removably secured to the head gate member (20). The head cartridge (100) includes two opposed vertical rollers (128) which support a rail laterally within the gate aperture and a fixing (112) which secures the head cartridge (100) to the head gate member (20). The rail support member (24) is removable from the head gate member (20).

The invention relates to a tower crane, preferably a rotary tower crane, particularly preferably a top-slewing crane, comprising a jib and a counter-jib. The jib and/or counter-jib is hinged to the tower top and/or rotating platform by means of at least one connection point. A first connection part of the at least one connection point has a concave stop surface, and a second connection part of the connection point comprises a convex counter-stop surface, wherein the counter-stop surface of the second connection part acts on the stop surface of the first connection part by means of a pressure force in order to produce a force-fitting connection between the connection parts.
