Container spreader for linking a container with a hoisting installation
A container spreader for coupling a container with a hoisting installation has a number of assemblies of a guiding plate and a displacing device connected thereto, for displacing the guiding plate between an active position A and an inactive position B. The displacement device has a hydraulic swivel motor provided with an output shaft which is connected to the guide plate via connecting elements. A hydraulic unit is coupled to the swivel motor via coupling device for supplying and discharging hydraulic oil from and to the swivel motor. By applying a hydraulic swivel motor, a final transmission can be omitted and no valves are required for keeping the hydraulic motor at pressure. As a result, an energy-efficient and inexpensive assembly has been obtained.
Hoist Cage Assembly

The cage has a plurality of bar openings each extending through the cage. A plurality of bars is each of the bars is slidable through a respective pair of the bar openings to extend through the pallet when the cage is lowered over the pallet. Each of the bars rests on the cage when the cage is lifted to lift the pallet when the cage is lifted. A plurality of sleeves is each of the sleeves is coupled to the cage and the sleeves are strategically arranged on the cage thereby facilitating each of the bars to be slidably stored in the plurality of sleeves.
Spreader for lifting intermodal container
A spreader for lifting an intermodal transport container includes a main beam extending in a longitudinal direction, the main beam formed of a first, upper C-beam of a relatively thicker material thickness and a second, lower C-beam of a relatively thinner material thickness; and an indicator configured to provide an indication if a distance in a transversal direction between a pair of twist-locks is set in a wide-body position when lowered onto respective lifting castings provided with top openings separated by a transversal distance corresponding to a standard position.
SYSTEM FOR HANDLING AND STORAGE OF ISO CONTAINERS
A system (100) for handling and storage of containers (200), system (100) comprising a structure (102) having storage cells (104) therein. Cells (104) are configured to store a container (200). Cells (104) are arranged in a rectangular prismatic array comprising a plurality of arrays (A.sub.1, A.sub.2 . . . A.sub.16). Each array comprises columns (C.sub.1, C.sub.2 . . . C.sub.15) and rows (R.sub.1, R.sub.2 . . . R.sub.18). Arrays (A.sub.1, A.sub.2 . . . A.sub.16) are arranged in pairs on opposite sides of void areas (V.sub.1, V.sub.2 . . . V.sub.8), each of which extends vertically and horizontally through the structure (102). Each cell has a container access opening (106) communicating with its associated void area (V.sub.1, V.sub.2 . . . V.sub.8). Container cranes (108) are provided for each void area (V.sub.1, V.sub.2 . . . V.sub.8). Container engagement assemblies (108c) are releasably engaged with respective opposite longitudinal ends of carrier (108a) of cranes (108). Upon movement into a cell (104), assemblies (108c) engage and are vertically supported by horizontal members (102c) at the top of the cell.
DEBRIS PROTECTED TWIST ATTACHMENT
A detachable attachment assembly has a receptacle unit and a carrier unit. The receptacle unit includes a housing defining a receptacle slot and a piston having a profile substantially matching the receptacle slot. The piston is movable between an engaged position, proximal the receptacle slot, and a retracted position, distal to the receptacle slot. A biasing member biases the piston toward the engaged position. A flange of the carrier unit has a width greater than the length of the receptacle slot. A lock tab is offset from the flange and is configured to pass through the receptacle slot. A first angle of the carrier unit lets the lock tab move the piston from the engaged position to the retracted position. A second angle prevents passage of the lock tab through the receptacle slot. An accessory is attached to the carrier unit.
Side lift spreader for lifting intermodal container
A side lift spreader main beam (22) comprises a vertical carrier plate (58) having a first vertical height (H1) and being made of steel plate having a first thickness (T1); a C-beam (60) comprising a first horizontal flange (64) and a second horizontal flange (66) interconnected by a vertical web portion (68), the C-beam (60) having a second vertical height (H2) lower than the first vertical height (H1) and being made of steel plate having a second thickness (T2) thinner than the first thickness (T1), wherein the C-beam (60) defines, together with the carrier plate (58), a closed channel beam with a first flange (74) of the carrier plate (58) extending vertically from the closed channel beam; and an inclined support plate (62) welded to the carrier plate, and to an outer face of the first flange (64) of the C-beam (60) at a distance from the carrier plate (58).
INTERMODAL CONTAINER, HANDLING METHOD AND APPARATUS
The present invention provides a lid (400) for an open container (100, 13.10), a lid lifting system (13.100), a tippler (13.200) with the improved lid lifting system (13.100) and a method of lifting a container. The lid and lifting arrangement includes an apertured receiving formation (401) on an upper side of a lid (100) to receive a lift member (13.40). The lift member (13.40) can do one or more than one of the following: engaging the formation (401) will unlock a locking mechanism (13.42,458) holding the lid (400) to a container (100); or allow the lift member (13.40) to be rotated to thereby unlock the locking mechanism (13.42, 458) which locks the lid (400) to the container (100), while simultaneously locking the lift member (13.40, 458) to the lid (400). A lifting device which is able to perform such actions is also disclosed, and a method to operate the lifting device.
