Safety Brake For a Lifting Device
20180002148 · 2018-01-04 ·

A method and a safety brake for a lifting device, wherein a solenoid or another electromechanical actuator is used to actuate a pawl, where the position of the pawl is monitored via at least two switches or sensors, where the lowering motion of the load or the lifting device is monitored and the safety brake is triggered in the event of a fault via a safety-oriented controller and at least one sensor, where the solenoid or the pawl is arranged such that, via spring force and/or gravity, the pawl is brought into engagement when the actuator, for example, the solenoid, is deenergized such that it is possible to exactly define and monitor the limit speed and, by using the two sensors, it is also possible to monitor the function and the motion of the pawl and to detect undesired operating states.

Safety brake for a lifting gear

A safety brake for a load lifting gear includes an actuator for a locking pawl, a brake-locking gear element connected to a lifting gear drive, pawl position monitoring sensors and a controller. The controller monitors the sensors and the lifting gear speed, and operates the lifting gear drive and the actuator to brake the lifting gear against excessive speed, by moving the actuator between energized and non-energized states and differentiating with sensor inputs among a detached state, a bearing state and a fully engaged state of the locking pawl with a pawl clearance of the brake-locking gear element.

Brake Winch with Reverse Release and Self-locking Function

Disclosed is a brake winch with reverse release and self-locking functions. The brake winch has a housing with first and second side walls, an accommodating space, and an auxiliary bracket part. A rotating disk is screwed in the accommodating space. A main shaft is screwed on one side of the rotating disk in an interlocking manner. A screw adapter is screwed on the second side wall, and includes an inner connection end that is assembled with the main shaft, and its external end has a threaded groove. The axial displacement of a driving screw, which is screwed on the auxiliary bracket, is matched with the difference of forward and reverse rotation to form a screwing transmission or release mode between the stud section and the thread groove. A friction driving mechanism must prompt the drive screw, the clamping plate and the screw adapter to be in a tightly synchronized state.

Device for bearing the weight of a load

There is provided a weight bearing device for being located overhead to support the weight of a load applied to the device in use. Embodiments comprise a reel for winding up or unwinding a support belt for supporting the load, the reel being rotatable about a first axis of rotation. An actuator element is provided for being driven about a second axis of rotation to drive a locking mechanism to lock the reel against unwinding of the support belt when the weight of the load is applied to the support belt. The reel is released by the locking mechanism when the weight of the load is removed from the support belt. Methods for use of the device are also provided.

A lever hoist includes a housing in which a load chain wheel and a driveshaft driving the load chain wheel are mounted, as well as a safety brake. A load chain is movable via the load chain wheel. The safety brake brings about an emergency braking in the event of excessive rotational speed of the driveshaft. The safety brake has a locking disc with teeth and a control disc with control cams. The locking disc and the control disc are rotatable in relation to one another in a limited manner. A catch hook is movable in a swivelling manner and has a latch contour and a sensing contour. The sensing contour rests on the control. In response to exceeding a defined rotational speed, the sensing contour lifts off the control disc. The latch contour rotates towards the locking disc and engages with a locking tooth of the locking disc.

A hoist for transferring the ends of power lines between supports at different locations including a pair of hoist mechanisms each having a respective tension line receiving drum and which are simultaneously operable with a single crank arm. Each drum has a respective ratchet mechanism that can be selectively set such that upon pivotable movement of the single crank arm between a first and second positions the ratchet mechanisms (i) simultaneously rotate both the drums in a take up direction for simultaneously winding said tensions lines onto the drums, (ii) simultaneously enable rotation of the drums in a release direction for simultaneously unwinding the tensions lines from the drums, or (iii) rotate one drum in a take-up direction for winding the respective tension line on the one drum while simultaneously enabling rotating the other drum in a release direction for unwinding the tension line from the other drum.
