ROTATION LOCK DEVICE, LEVER HOIST, AND HOISTING MACHINE
20230234816 · 2023-07-27 · ·

A rotation lock device comprising: a stopper support member rotating integrally with a shaft-shaped member; a stopper member supported by the stopper support member in a state of being slidable; a holding means configured to hold the stopper member; an urging means configured to urge the holding means toward a first rotation direction with respect to the stopper member; and a stopper locking means configured to stop a rotation of the shaft-shaped member by engaging with the stopper member, wherein when the shaft-shaped member accelerates the rotation toward the first rotation direction, a holding force for the stopper member by the holding means is decreased and/or released by an inertial load of the holding means to cause the stopper member to project from the predetermined position to a position where the stopper member engages with the stopper locking means to thereby stop the rotation of the shaft-shaped member.

Strap winch assembly
11358513 · 2022-06-14 ·

A strap winch apparatus includes a frame with a drum gear connected to a drum. The drum is configured to receive an end of a strap whereby the strap is wound around or unwound from the drum when the gear is rotated. The frame also includes a braking member to arrest inadvertent reverse rotation of the drum to maintain strap tension. A handle configured to engage with the drum includes a pivotable pawl. One end of the pawl is configured to engage the gear teeth of the drum gear and index the drum gear in order to tension the strap about the drum. An opposite end of the pawl is configured to displace the braking member whereby the gear and drum are permitted to rotate in a direction loosening the strap tension. Typically, the braking member has a gear tooth engaging portion and a striking portion that may be in intermittent contact with the pawl for controlled loosening of the strap tension.

Tow system
11225268 · 2022-01-18 · ·

A portable tow system includes a drive system for removable mounting to a first anchor point, a flywheel system for removable mounting to a second anchor point distal from the first anchor point, and a tow strap for connecting a drive wheel of the drive system to a flywheel of the flywheel system. One or more persons or objects can be removably attached or connected to the tow strap. The drive system includes a motor for causing the drive wheel to rotate, which rotation causes the tow strap to rotate, such that the person(s) or object(s) connected thereto may be pulled from the first anchor point to the second anchor point or vice versa.

Payload delivery system with spool braking device
11214371 · 2022-01-04 · ·

An apparatus directed to unmanned aerial vehicles including (i) a support structure, (ii) at least one shaft coupled to the support structure via at least one swing arm that allows upward movement, and restricts downward movement, of the at least one shaft from a resting position, (iii) a spool shaped so as to rest on the at least one shaft when the at least one shaft is in the resting position, and wherein the spool is operable to unwind a tether coupled to a payload, and (iv) at least one fan coupled to the at least one shaft, wherein rotation of the spool when unwinding the tether also causes rotation of the at least one fan coupled to the at least one shaft, thereby controlling a descent rate of the payload.

Retrofitted hoist machine

Disclosed is a method of retrofitting a legacy hoist machine including: attaching a primary brake assembly to an end surface of a machine shaft, and configuring a controller to: control the primary brake assembly to provide service braking; and control a brake drum assembly as a secondary brake assembly to thereby apply emergency braking.

Double-drum intermediate gear linkage winding type hoisting system

A double-drum linkage winding type hoisting system includes a first hoisting drum and a second hoisting drum. The first hoisting drum and the second hoisting drum are engaged and linked through engagement structures on outer circumferences of the first hoisting drum and the second hoisting drum or are linked through a linkage intermediate member. A first hoisting rope is wound around the first hoisting drum. A second hoisting rope is wound around the second hoisting drum. The first hoisting rope and the second hoisting rope are not connected with each other.
