POSITIONING APPARATUS WITH AN ASSOCIATED TRANSFER MECHANISM
An apparatus including an inspection apparatus for inspecting an artefact, and a transfer mechanism for moving a pallet on which an artefact is located relative to the inspection apparatus so as to move the pallet to and from an inspection location, and further including at least one pallet lifter which can be actuated between a retracted and an extended configuration, configured such that when a pallet is at the inspection location the at least one pallet lifter can be actuated to its extended configuration so as to engage with and lift the pallet and thereby decouple the pallet from the transfer mechanism.

Tilt-safe, high-capacity lift device
A lifting device with a head cavity in the lifting member shaped to accept a removable lifting head. The head cavity in the lifting device—e.g., the piston of a bottle jack—may be provided with threads, or may have the threads removed. A yoke fitted on the lifting head provides registration, horizontal restraint, or both against a lifted object, component, or surface to prevent sliding off the lifting head while in use. In a smooth-walled-shaft embodiment, a set of risers (spacers, adjusters, trims, or shims) serves to adjust an extension height of the shaft, elevating the lifting head with respect to the piston prior to beginning to lift the hydraulic piston.

Wheel Removal Device
A wheel removal device for separating a wheel from an axle hub includes a base, a plurality of tethers, and a plurality of fasteners. A recess extends axially into the base from a first end of the base. The recess is shaped complementarily to a terminus of a piston of a hydraulic cylinder so that the recess the terminus of the piston can be inserted into the recess. The tethers are engaged to and extend from the base. Each fastener is engaged to a respective tether distal from the base and can selectively engage a wheel that is engaged to an axle hub. The hydraulic cylinder is positioned longitudinally between the base and the axle hub. The base translates a force imparted by extension of the piston through the tethers to the wheel to remove the wheel from the axle hub.

Method and apparatus for transporting and steering a heavy load
A method and apparatus for transporting heavy machinery, equipment or other heavy loads from one location to another, whereby the apparatus may be constructed as a walking machine including a plurality of lifting assemblies operative to lift the load above the supporting surface and then move the load relative to the supporting surface by transporting the load via rollers or tracks in the walking machines. In one example, the lifting assemblies are provided with separate longitudinal and lateral drive mechanisms independently operative for translating the load in either or both longitudinal and lateral directions.

Lift jack
A clamp contains: a body, an actuation rod, and a slow descending device. The body includes a first support sheet, and the actuation rod includes a second support sheet. The body further includes a drive grip, a driven mechanism, and a limitation mechanism. The limitation mechanism has a first spring, multiple first fixing protrusions, and a release lever. The slow descending device includes a second spring, multiple second fixing protrusions, a guide element, and a micro-adjustment handle. The micro-adjustment handle has a pull lever and the second spring 31 surrounds around the actuation ro. The multiple second fixing protrusions accommodate the actuation rod and are pushed by the second spring. The micro-adjustment handle has a third spring and a control lever pushed by the third spring and contacting with the multiple second fixing protrusions.
