Device and method for unscrewing a lid from a container body
A device (1, 1′) for at least partially unscrewing a lid (30) from a container body (31) has a lid engagement portion (3) and a container body engagement portion (13) each having opposite first (4, 14) and second ends (5, 15). Levers (20, 21) project from these first ends (4,14). An elastically expandable member (22) is connected between the second ends (5, 15) of the lid engagement portion (3) and the container body engagement portion (13). If the lid engagement portion (3) is in contact with the lid (30) and the container body engagement portion (13) is in contact with the container body (31), moving the levers (20, 21) towards each other first causes the lid (30) to be entrained relative to the container body engagement portion (13) and the container body (31) to be entrained relative to the lid engagement portion (3) while the elastically expandable member (22) is stretched.

WOOD VENEER BEVERAGE CONTAINER SLEEVE
A beverage container sleeve made from two-ply rolled wood veneer, having an ovoid open end, an internal cavity, and a circular closed base, whereby the outer surface of the device may have printed thereon an aesthetic design and the base may have formed into its underside a bottle cap removing component; and a method for manufacturing same.

HAND HELD DEVICE FOR AUTOMATICALLY REMOVING AND REPLACING SCREW-ON CAPS FOR CRYOGENIC TUBES, CRYOGENIC VIALS AND MICROTUBES
A handheld, battery operated device that, when activated, will grip a screw-cap on the top of a cryogenic vial, microtube, test tube or other pharmaceutical product container, and automatically rotate the cap in a counterclockwise direction to remove the cap, and automatically rotate the cap in a clockwise direction to fasten the cap back on the cryogenic vial, microtube, test tube or other pharmaceutical product container.
Screw cap twisting tool
A screw cap twisting tool uses two primary members—a stationary member with gripping surface(s) and a high-mechanical-advantage-for-gripping pivoting member with gripping surface(s)—to easily and effectively grip and twist a screw cap. The screw cap twisting tool is easily operated by pushing the screw cap against the pivoting member. A screw cap twisting tool also uses a method for holding the pivoting member in its most open position before screw cap insertion. This method for holding the pivoting member in its most open position can be accomplished in numerous ways by using a force opposing feature, member, or mechanism that allows movement and/or deformation when force is applied and restores position and/or shape when force is removed. Examples include, but are not limited to: built-in elastic metal or plastic material, separate metal or plastic spring, separate elastic O-ring or rubber band, gravity, or magnetism.

Device and method for firmly gripping an object, such as a container or jar
A strap wrench device includes (a) an elongate, flexible member having a first end and a second end; and (b) an elongate handle having a proximal end, a distal end, a face side and a back side. The handle is configured to be conveniently held in a user's right hand with its proximal end extending toward the object to be gripped. The proximal end of the handle has a means on its right side (when held by a user with its the face side upward) for attaching the first end of the flexible member. It also has an opening adjacent the handle's left side through which the second end of the flexible member can pass. The flexible member extends through the opening in the handle, thereby forming a loop that can surround and grip an object. The flexible member then extends further along the left side of the handle toward the handle's distal end. The handle includes a rounded protrusion at its proximal end, adjacent to the opening and on a side of the opening that is opposite to the flexible member attachment means, for pressing the flexible member against the gripped object when the device is in use.
Multi-tool container opening device
A container opening device is provided. The device can comprise a plurality of opening structures, including at least a pry portion, a twist-off portion, and a finger receiving portion. A gripping portion can also be included. These structures and elements define a multi-tool device configured to open various types of containers, such as beverage bottles having a pop-off cap, beverage bottles having a twist-off cap, and beverage cans having an opening tab (e.g., pull tab).
