The invention comprises a method and apparatus for amending a food product, comprising the steps of: (1) receiving into a second geographic zone the food product from a first geographic zone, where packaging greater than five milligrams per serving of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in the food product is illegal in the first geographic zone and legal in the second geographic zone; (2) forming a composition of the tetrahydrocannabinol comprising a viscosity of less than 2,000 mPa sec; and (3) injecting the food product with the composition of the tetrahydrocannabinol to form an amended food product, where the composition preferably comprises an emulsion of tetrahydrocannabinol, an emulsifier, and water with a mean particle size of less than 1000 nm and a viscosity of less than 100 mPa sec.

One embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus for processing sealed plastic containers having a first headspace pressure. The apparatus may include: an open entry port or tunnel for continuously receiving containers; a sanitizer configured to sanitize outside surfaces of the received containers; a perforator configured to perforate or open a cap or seal of the containers within the apparatus; a sealer configured to seal the perforation or opening formed in the cap or seal of the containers; an open exit port of tunnel for continuously exiting the processed containers; and a conveyor system configured to transporting or convey the containers from the open entry port or tunnel, through and within the apparatus, to the open exit port or tunnel and away from the sanitized environment of the apparatus. The apparatus may be further configured to maintain a sanitized environment within the apparatus, perforator, and/or sealer.

A filling plant for handling bottles as required, has at least one bottle handling device, a first supply line which supplies a first bottle type and at least one further supply line which provides a first further bottle type, the first further bottle type differing in shape and/or size from the first bottle type. In order to increase the flexibility, to reduce the inventory and nevertheless to meet the requirements for mass production, the filling plant also has a sorter which is configured to remove bottles selectively and arbitrarily from each of the supply lines, to line up the bottles in a predetermined order on a forward section and to deliver them to the bottle handling device in the predetermined order. The predetermined order can be chosen freely.

In a method of making a beverage, a plurality of beverage containers is placed onto a conveyor. A first phase including a base salt is dispensed into each one of the plurality of beverage containers. An acidic phase is dispensed into each one of the plurality of beverage containers. At least one of the first phase and the acidic phase includes water. At a third location on the conveyor that is spaced apart from both the first location and the second location, each one of the plurality of beverage containers is sealed individually with a substantially airtight seal at a predetermined amount of time after both the first phase and the acidic phase have been dispensed therein so that the first phase reacts with the second phase to carbonate the beverage therein with a predetermined amount of carbonation.

A system for deaeration of constituents of a liquid product blend includes a first liquid stream supply system and a second liquid stream supply system. A control system is configured to: (i) monitor flow of the first liquid and responsively/automatically control flow of the first deaeration gas in order to achieve a first target ratio of first deaeration gas to first liquid; and/or (ii) monitor flow of the second liquid and responsively/automatically control flow of the second deaeration gas in order to achieve a second target ratio of second deaeration gas to second liquid; and/or (iii) monitor a dissolved oxygen level of (a) the first liquid, at a location downstream of injection of the first deaeration gas, and (b) a combined liquid formed by mixing the first liquid and the second liquid, and to adjust the system based upon the dissolved oxygen level of the combined liquid.

A container filling assembly that can be used with container filling systems to fill containers during successive filling cycles with the same or different fluid compositions at high rates of speed, with little to no machinery changeover, and/or with little to no fluid waste.

The invention relates to an installation for treating a series of containers, comprising a machine for the initial treatment of the series of containers, in which the series of containers is subjected to an initial treatment between; a first additional treatment machine and a second additional treatment machine, each being arranged such that at least some of the series of containers that have been subjected to the initial treatment are subjected to an additional treatment in the first and/or second additional treatment machine; a first transfer device designed to remove the series of containers to an exit point of the initial treatment machine and distribute them to an entry point of the first and/or second additional treatment machine. Also included is a method for changing a treatment applied to containers by a treatment installation.

Provided is a device for treating containers, comprising a heating device for heating plastic preforms, wherein the heating device has a plurality of heating stations which are suitable for individually heating the plastic preforms, and wherein the heating device has a transport device which transports the plastic preforms individually through the heating device, and comprising a reshaping device which is suitable and intended for reshaping the plastic preforms heated by the heating device into plastic containers. Beverage processing system for filling a beverage into containers with a filler with several filling valves for filling the beverage into the containers, where the filling valves are each configured having a filling device for filling at least two components of the beverage into one of the containers, a capper for closing the container filled with the beverage, and with a conveyor for transporting the containers at least from the filler to the capper, characterised in that the beverage processing system comprises at least one gas analysis device for quality control of the mixed beverage filled into the containers, and in that the at least one gas analysis device each comprises a gas suctioning device for suctioning gas from a head region of the containers filled with the beverage and an analyzer for analyzing the suctioned gas.
