The device is characterized in that said at least two second connection parts each are a rotatable or tiltable connection part. Preferably, said second connection parts each are embodied as a concave socket for coupling to a carabiner comprising a convex body.

A horseback riding apparatus embodiment is described that includes a saddle mountable over a body of a horse, a bridle mountable over a head of a horse, a main rein connected to the bridle and a rein keeper connectable to the main rein and the saddle. The rein keeper has a first end, an elongated strap, and a second end opposite to the first end. The first end can be slidably connectable to the main rein, and the second end can be fixedly connectable to the saddle. The elongated strap has a strap length, wherein at least a portion of the strap length is extensible to allow a horse head to freely move between a raised position and a resting position and wherein the rein keeper is graspable by a rider seated on the saddle.

A horseback riding apparatus embodiment is described that includes a saddle mountable over a body of a horse, a bridle mountable over a head of a horse, a main rein connected to the bridle and a rein keeper connectable to the main rein and the saddle. The rein keeper has a first end, an elongated strap, and a second end opposite to the first end. The first end can be slidably connectable to the main rein, and the second end can be fixedly connectable to the saddle. The elongated strap has a strap length, wherein at least a portion of the strap length is extensible to allow a horse head to freely move between a raised position and a resting position and wherein the rein keeper is graspable by a rider seated on the saddle.

A horse-stopping apparatus for slowing and stopping a horse after a rider has been involuntarily separated, the horse wearing a head piece, comprising: a leading segment detachably fastened to the horse's head piece; a trample segment fastened to the leading segment; and, a trailing segment detachably fastened to the trample segment and also connected to the rider; whereby if the rider is involuntarily separated from the horse, the trailing segment will extend the trample segment and the forward motion of the horse will carry the trample segment under the hooves of the horse; whereby the hooves of the horse will trample the trample segment thereby pulling the horse's head downward and thereby slowing and stopping the horse.

A horse-stopping apparatus for slowing and stopping a horse after a rider has been involuntarily separated, the horse wearing a head piece, comprising: a leading segment detachably fastened to the horse's head piece; a trample segment fastened to the leading segment; and, a trailing segment detachably fastened to the trample segment and also connected to the rider; whereby if the rider is involuntarily separated from the horse, the trailing segment will extend the trample segment and the forward motion of the horse will carry the trample segment under the hooves of the horse; whereby the hooves of the horse will trample the trample segment thereby pulling the horse's head downward and thereby slowing and stopping the horse.
