ADJUSTABLE STIRRUP
A stirrup arranged to be adjusted to an individual rider of a horse is provided. The stirrup includes a stirrup support bracket and a foot tread. The adjustable stirrup is provided with a stirrup angle adjustment arrangement, arranged to adjust the stirrup in one or more of an x-, y- or z-axis direction. A stirrup leather mounting part is arranged to receive the lower end sling of a stirrup leather.
EQUESTRIAN STIRRUP WITH RELEASABLE FOOT RETENTION
An equestrian stirrup with releasable foot retention has a foot rest with a top side for engagement with a rider's boot and a bottom side opposite the top side; At least one elastomeric-band attachment peg projects outwardly from the stirrup or from the bottom side of the foot rest. An elastomeric band has end portions for attachment to the at least one peg, and midsections for engaging with a front portion of a rider's boot.
SAFETY DEVICE FOR REINS
A safety device for use with reins for guiding a horse, includes a releasable fastener that allows the ends of the reins to separate in order to reduce the chance that a rider or driver entangled in the reins will be dragged on the ground by the horse or a horse drawn vehicle. The illustrative embodiment of the safety device employs a hook-and-loop fastener.
System for use in horseback riding
A system for horseback riding comprising an inverse stirrup which allows a horseback rider to use the top of the rider's foot to resist upward or transverse forces so as to maintain the rider's position on the horse. The inverse stirrup is attached to the horse by a circumferential or semi-circumferential strap passing beneath the horse such as the girth strap, or directly to the saddle, such that the system resists upward displacement of the inverse stirrup.
A STIRRUP
A horse stirrup is provided including a support, for supporting an underside of footwear of a rider; and a positioner, for positioning the footwear of the rider relative to the support. Advantageously, the positioner assists the rider to ride with the ball of their foot (or toes) correctly positioned on the stirrup and in a balanced riding position.
