UPHOLSTERY MEMBER
An upholstery member includes a base board (101) having at least one base board opening (116), a fixation arrangement (140), and a resilient wadding (102). The wadding (102) is pressed at least to some extent through the base board opening (116) and connected to the fixation arrangement (140), thereby forming an indent (130) in the upholstery member (100). Further, the invention relates to a method for manufacturing the upholstery member comprising the steps of providing (310) a base board (101) having at least one base board opening (116) and being covered with a wadding (102) on a front side of said base board (101), passing (320) the wadding (102) through said base board opening (116), whereby the indent (13) is formed, and securing (330) the position of the wadding (102) relative the base board (101).
Multi-length tuft feeder
Upholstery tufting apparatus comprises an insertion needle (5) with an aperture (4) to receive a tuft for insertion into an article to be upholstered. The tuft is presented to the needle aperture (4) along a tuft feed axis (3). The apparatus has a plurality of tuft strings (2a, 2b, 2c), a first string (2a) with tufts of a first length and a second string (2b) with tufts of different second length. The apparatus has one or more tuft feed units, and an actuator operatively connected to said tuft feed unit(s). The first and second tuft strings (2a, 2b) are associated with the tuft feed unit(s). A selected one of the tuft feed unit(s) is actuatable by the actuator to align one of the first and second strings (2a, 2b) with the tuft feed axis (3) according to the length of tuft required to be inserted into an article to be upholstered. A method for tufting an upholstered article employing said apparatus is also described.

Layered body and method for producing same
A layered body includes a cover or skin layer, a cushion layer 82, and an adhesive layer. The skin layer is made from a cover or skin material. The cushion layer is made from a cushioning material. The adhesive layer is made from an adhesive and provided between the skin layer and the cushion layer. A portion of the skin layer located between valleys of the cushion layer and corresponding to a bottom portion of a concave portion has positive curvature in the side view. The bottom portion of the concave portion between the valleys in a surface of the cushioning layer on which the adhesive layer is provided has negative curvature or is flat in the side view.
