METHODS OF PRODUCING A GAS
Disclosed herein are methods of producing a gas, the methods comprising dynamically mixing dry particles comprising a precursor and dry particles comprising a proton-generating species for an amount of time to produce the gas and wherein the gas is produced at a rate that is controlled by controlling the rate at which the dry particles comprising the precursor and the dry particles comprising the proton-generating species are dynamically mixed.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUS AND METHODS TO ACCELERATE GENERATION OF CHLORINE DIOXIDE GAS
Disclosed are systems, apparatus, and methods for accelerating the generation of chlorine dioxide gas by rotating a member such as a puck, tablet, or pouch of reactant such as sodium chlorite in an acidic solution that will cause and help accelerate a reaction to generate chlorine dioxide gas.
Method for onsite production of chlorine dioxide
The methods disclosed generally relate to treatment of process water using chlorine dioxide. Specifically, reactants may be fed asynchronously into a diluent line or a tank where the reactants may mix and react to form chlorine dioxide. The chlorine dioxide levels may fluctuate in the diluent line or the tank thereby inhibiting or reducing the growth of microbes.
Devices, systems and methods of making and using chlorine dioxide based formulation with improved stability
Disclosed are devices, systems, and methods for producing broad spectrum disinfectants, sanitizers, cleaner and deodorizers using chlorine dioxide compositions, and more particularly, to methods for producing chlorine dioxide compositions having improved long term stability by the proper choice of pH and through the careful choice of other product formula ingredients.
Methods of producing a gas at a variable rate
Disclosed herein are methods of producing a gas at a variable rate, the methods comprising dynamically mixing dry particles comprising a precursor and dry particles comprising a proton-generating species to produce a gas and wherein the gas is produced at a rate that is varied by varying the amount of time the dry particles comprising the precursor and the dry particles comprising the proton-generating species are dynamically mixed, the rate at which the dry particles comprising the precursor and the dry particles comprising the proton-generating species are dynamically mixed, or a combination thereof.
Methods and compositions for on-demand release of ClO.SUB.2 .gas from UV-activated chlorite ion
Compositions and methods for generating ClO.sub.2 gas are disclosed. A composition that includes a chlorite salt is activated by exposure to ultraviolet light. After an optional storage period, the composition is then exposed to moisture, resulting in the generation of ClO.sub.2 gas. Exemplary compositions include polymers in which the chlorite salt is dispersed. The polymers may be used to form films that can be used to package, e.g., food products, pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and/or laboratory devices. Upon exposure to ultraviolet light and moisture, the packaging releases controlled quantities of ClO.sub.2 gas, which may disinfect and/or deodorize the packaged device or product.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING CHLORINE DIOXIDE
Systems and methods for producing chlorine dioxide in a two stage system and single stage system that provides high chlorate to chlorine dioxide efficiency with a compact design and low sulfuric acid requirements.
