INTEGRATED AMMONIA AND SULFURIC ACID PRODUCTION PLANT AND PROCESS
Integrated plants and associated processes for producing ammonia and sulfuric acid have been developed comprising air separation and water electrolysis subsystems and which make surprisingly efficient use of the products from these subsystems (i.e. oxygen and nitrogen from the former and hydrogen and oxygen from the latter). The invention is particularly suitable for use as part of an integrated fertilizer production plant.
A SYSTEM FOR OBTAINING HIGH PURITY NITROGEN IN NITROGEN GAS PURIFICATION APPLICATIONS AND A METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed is a system developed for obtaining high purity (minimum 99.999%) nitrogen gas in nitrogen gas purification applications and drying obtained nitrogen gas before applying it on areas of use, and to an operating method of said system.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CO-PRODUCING ULTRA-HIGH PURITY OXYGEN AND ULTRA-HIGH PURITY HYDROGEN
A system and method for co-producing ultra-high purity oxygen and ultra-high purity hydrogen from a water electrolysis unit is provided. The presently disclosed system and method includes upgrading the crude oxygen stream coming from the water electrolysis unit by means of a small, stand-alone cryogenic distillation system wherein the refrigeration for such cryogenic distillation system is supplied by a nitrogen recycle refrigeration loop.
Methods to produce zeolites with the GME topology and compositions derived therefrom
The present disclosure is directed to microporous crystalline aluminosilicate structures with GME topologies having pores containing organic structure directing agents (OSDAs) comprising at least one piperidinium cation, the compositions useful for making these structures, and methods of using these structures. In some embodiments, the crystalline zeolite structures have a molar ratio of Si:Al that is greater than 3.5.
Zincoaluminosilicates with GME topologies and methods of making and using the same
The present disclosure is directed to methods of producing zincoaluminosilicate structures with AEI, CHA, and GME topologies using organic structure directing agents (OSDAs), and the compositions and structures resulting from these methods.
Air separation modules and methods of removing condensate from air separation modules
An air separation module includes a cylindrical canister and a separator. The cylindrical canister has a longitudinal axis, an inlet, an oxygen-depleted air outlet, and a drain portion with an oxygen-enriched air outlet. The separator is arranged within the cylindrical canister to separate a compressed air flow into an oxygen-depleted air flow fraction and an oxygen-enriched air flow fraction, the oxygen-depleted air flow fraction provided to the oxygen-depleted air outlet and the oxygen-enriched air flow fraction to the drain portion of the canister. The drain portion extends tangentially from the cylindrical canister to issue the oxygen-enriched air flow fraction with entrained condensate from the oxygen-enriched air outlet with a tangential flow component. Nitrogen generation systems and methods of removing condensate from air separation modules are also described.
MOISTURE REMOVAL DEVICE USING ROTATING DISK AND NITROGEN PEELING
Proposed is a moisture removal device using a rotating disk and nitrogen peeling according to the present disclosure may include a circulation pump unit for circulating the oil in the storage tank connected to the circulation pump on one side of the device body via a valve, a chamber for exposing the oil circulated through the circulation pump unit into the chamber headspace through the rotation of the plurality of rotating disks, and a membrane unit that supplies dry nitrogen gas to oil exposed in the chamber headspace through rotation of a plurality of rotating disks of the chamber. The moisture removal device may remove free moisture, emulsified moisture, and dissolved moisture in oil contaminated with moisture through dry nitrogen gas purging by using a continuously rotating disk.
PORTABLE FLUORINE GENERATOR FOR ON-SITE CALIBRATION
A method and apparatus for generation of fluorine gas (F2) in situ at the point of use is provided. The portable fluorine generator includes a dilution system disposed within a housing and operable to mix a feed gas comprising fluorine with an inert gas. The portable fluorine generator further includes a plasma reactor unit disposed within the housing and operable to separate fluorine (F2) from the feed gas comprising fluorine.
Vacuum assisted air separation module operation
A method of fuel tank inerting includes separating process air into nitrogen-enriched air and oxygen-enriched air with an air separation membrane. A vacuum is applied to the air separation membrane to produce a pressure differential across the air separation membrane. The vacuum is manipulated to vary the pressure differential and vary purity of the nitrogen-enriched air.
Nitrogen conservation in polymerization processes
A closed-loop nitrogen transport system including a first transfer line configured for nitrogen pressure conveyance of a polymer fluff from at least one upstream vessel to at least one downstream vessel, a second transfer line configured to return a nitrogen gas stream comprising primarily nitrogen from the at least one downstream vessel to the at least one upstream vessel, a conveyor blower operable to provide flow throughout the closed loop, and a treatment unit operable to remove hydrocarbons from at least a portion of the nitrogen gas stream comprising primarily nitrogen, to provide a purified nitrogen stream.
