OLEFIN AND METHANOL CO-PRODUCTION PLANT AND OLEFIN AND METHANOL CO-PRODUCTION METHOD
An olefin and methanol co-production plant for co-production of an olefin and methanol from a source gas containing methane includes: an olefin production unit for producing the olefin; and a methanol production unit for producing methanol from a carbon oxide gas in the olefin production unit. The olefin production unit includes a partial oxidative coupling device for producing the olefin by partial oxidative coupling reaction of methane contained in the source gas. The methanol production unit includes a reforming device for producing hydrogen by reforming reaction of methane, and a methanol production device for producing methanol by reaction with hydrogen produced by the reforming device. At least one of the reforming device or the methanol production device is configured to perform reaction using the carbon oxide gas in the olefin production unit.
Engine fuel-reforming reactors, systems, and methods
An engine system for internal combustion and reformation of a fuel includes an engine, and a reforming reactor. The engine comprising an intake manifold for receiving a first fuel and an exhaust manifold for releasing an exhaust gas. The reforming reactor includes a first end portion, a second end, a wall having an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface defines an interior cavity for receiving the first fuel, a second fuel, reactants for the first fuel, or combinations thereof. The exhaust manifold of the system is sized and shaped for receiving a portion of the reforming reactor such that the exhaust gas flows along a surface of the reforming reactor within the exhaust manifold.
Process for Producing Hydrogen Product Having Reduced Carbon Intensity
A method for producing hydrogen product having a low carbon intensity is provided. The method includes the steps of: (a) converting a hydrocarbon feedstock to a hydrogen product using a hydrocarbon reforming process; (b) providing at least some of the required energy for the hydrogen production process from a biomass power plant; and (c) processing one or more flue gas streams from the biomass power plant in a carbon capture unit to reduce CO.sub.2e emissions. The hydrogen product has a carbon intensity preferably less than about 1.0 kg CO.sub.2e/kg H.sub.2, more preferably less than 0.45 kg CO.sub.2e/kg H.sub.2, and most preferably less than 0.0 kg CO.sub.2e/kg H.sub.2.

Co-production of Hydrogen and Sulfuric Acid by Partial Oxidation of Sulfur
A system and method for producing hydrogen, including converting sulfur vapor and oxygen gas in a first zone of furnace into sulfur monoxide, injecting water into a second zone of the furnace, converting the sulfur monoxide and the water in the second zone into hydrogen gas and sulfur dioxide, discharging furnace exhaust gas (including the hydrogen gas) from the furnace, condensing sulfur vapor in the furnace exhaust gas into liquid sulfur in a condenser (heat exchanger) downstream of the furnace, and discharging the liquid sulfur from the condenser to a vessel.
PROCESS AND PLANT FOR PRODUCING METHANOL AND SYNTHESIS GAS
Proposed according to the invention are a process and a plant for producing carbon dioxide-based methanol and synthesis gas, wherein the produced synthesis gas may be utilized process-internally for methanol synthesis. Hydrocarbons which are present in a carbon dioxide input gas stream as an impurity and are inert under the conditions of the methanol synthesis are chemically utilized through integration of a reforming unit, in particular a POX unit. This is done by supplying a purge gas stream diverted from the methanol synthesis loop to said reforming unit in which the hydrocarbons are converted into synthesis gas. In a preferred embodiment the purge gas stream is supplied to a hydrogen recovery unit, in particular a membrane unit. The hydrocarbons-enriched purge gas stream produced on the retentate side is subsequently supplied to the reforming unit.
