Process of Rare Earth Recovery from Ores Containing Bastnaesite
The present invention relates to the recovery of metals from raw ores or concentrates, and more specifically, to the recovery of rare earth elements, or oxides or salts thereof, from ores containing bastnaesite carbonatite, and/or monazite. The ore is processed by a method that may include one or more of the following steps: (i) mechanically processing the ore; (ii) calcination and/or roasting of the ore to form a calcinated material and/or roasting of the ore to form a roasted material; (iii) leaching of the calcinated material or roasted material in an aqueous solution; (iv) solid/liquid separation to remove a solid residue from the aqueous solution to recover a rare earth element solution; and (v) precipitation of the rare earth element solution to isolate a rare earth element, or oxide or salt thereof.
Phosphorus and calcium collection method, and mixture produced by said collection method
An aqueous solution containing 30 ppm or more of carbon dioxide is brought into contact with a steel-making slag to elute phosphorus and calcium contained in the steel-making slag into the aqueous solution. Subsequently, carbon dioxide is removed from the aqueous solution to precipitate a mixture comprising a phosphorus compound and a calcium compound. In this manner, a mixture comprising a phosphorus compound and a calcium compound and containing phosphorus in an amount of 1% by mass or more in terms of phosphorus atom content can be produced.

System and Method for Removing Organics from Phosphate Ore Using an Acid
This disclosure describes methods, processes and devices that remove or release organics from ores, such as phosphate ores or secondary sources such as mine tailings or waste. The method comprises: preparing an ore to a pre-set size; mixing the ore with an acidic reagent having an initial pH value in a slurry comprising the ore and the reagent; and while mixing the slurry, maintaining a pH level in the slurry to a pH range. While mixing the slurry, the slurry may produce a supernatant containing organic material removed from the ore and sediment containing refined ore. The method may also screen the slurry to create a first stream of materials that does not pass through the screen and a second stream of materials and refined ore that pass through the screen.
METAL-FREE FEW-LAYER PHOSPHOROUS NANOMATERIAL: METHOD FOR ITS PREPARATION AND USE THEREOF
A method for preparing a metal-free few-layer phosphorous nanomaterial. The method comprises an ice-assisted exfoliation process (or solvent ice-assisted exfoliation process). The method allows for the preparation of a few-layer phosphorous nanomaterial with improved yield and reduced duration and exfoliation power. The few-layer phosphorous nanomaterial is used in the preparation of a photocatalyst. The photocatalyst exhibits a long-term stability, high photocatalytic H.sub.2 evolution efficiency from water, and good stability under visible light irradiation.
