A negative electrode active material includes a carbon material, where the carbon material has a specific degree of graphitization and aspect ratio distribution. A degree of graphitization Gr of the carbon material measured by an X-ray diffraction analysis method is 0.82 to 0.92, and based on a total quantity of particles of the carbon material, a proportion of particles with an aspect ratio greater than 3.3 in the carbon material is less than 10%. The negative electrode active material helps to improve cycle performance of the electrochemical apparatus. FIG. 1.

Objects are to provide a ferrite powder having a residual magnetization and a coercive force larger than those of spherical hard ferrite particle, and magnetic permeability μ″ is maximum in a specific frequency range, a manufacturing method thereof, a resin compound containing the ferrite powder, and a molded product made from the resin compound. To achieve the objects, a hexagonal plate shaped ferrite powder containing 7.8 to 9 wt % of Sr, 61 to 65 wt % of Fe, and 0.1 to 0.65 wt % of Mg, a manufacturing method thereof, a resin compound containing the hexagonal plate shaped ferrite powder, and a molded product made from the resin compound are employed.

The present invention provides a positive electrode active material for a secondary battery, which includes a core, a shell disposed to surround the core, and a buffer layer which is disposed between the core and the shell and includes pores and a three-dimensional network structure connecting the core and the shell, wherein, the core, the shell, and the three-dimensional network structure of the buffer layer each independently include a lithium nickel manganese cobalt-based composite metal oxide and at least one metallic element of the nickel, the manganese, and the cobalt has a concentration gradient that gradually changes in any one region of the core, the shell, and the entire positive electrode active material.

The present invention provides a magnetic multilayer pigment flake and a magnetic coating composition that are relatively safe for human health and the environment. The pigment flake includes one or more magnetic layers of a magnetic alloy and one or more dielectric layers of a dielectric material. The magnetic alloy is an iron-chromium alloy or an iron-chromium-aluminum alloy, having a substantially nickel-free composition. The coating composition includes a plurality of the pigment flakes disposed in a binder medium.

The present invention provides a fine silicon powder and the like including fine silicon particles having a microscopically measured particle diameter of 1 μm or more and an average circularity determined in accordance with Formula (1) of 0.93 or more, in which an average particle diameter based on volume, which is measured by a laser diffraction scattering method, is in a range of 0.8 μm or more and 8.0 μm or less, an average particle diameter based on number, which is measured by the laser diffraction scattering method, is in a range of 0.100 μm or more and 0.150 μm or less, and a specific surface area, which is measured by a BET method, is in a range of 4.0 m.sup.2/g or more and 10 m.sup.2/g or less. SODIUM FERRITE PARTICLE POWDER AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
The sodium ferrite particle powder according to the present invention is characterized in that at least one metal or more selected from the metal group consisting of silicon, aluminum, titanium, manganese, cobalt, nickel, magnesium, copper and zinc is contained in an amount of 0.05 to 20% by weight in terms of the oxide, and the molar ratio of Na/Fe is 0.75 to 1.25.

COMPOSITE CARBON PARTICLES AND USE THEREOF
Composite carbon particles including a porous carbon material and a silicon component, the composite carbon particle having an average aspect ratio of 1.25 or less, and a ratio (I.sub.Si/I.sub.G) of a peak intensity (I.sub.Si) in the vicinity of 470 cm.sup.−1 to a peak intensity (I.sub.G) in the vicinity of 1580 cm.sup.−1 as measured by Raman spectroscopy of 0.30 or less, wherein the porous carbon material satisfies V.sub.1/V.sub.0>0.80 and V.sub.2/V.sub.0<0.10, when a total pore volume at a maximum value of a relative pressure P/P.sub.0 is defined as V.sub.0 and P.sub.0 is a saturated vapor pressure, a cumulative pore volume at a relative pressure P/P.sub.0=0.1 is defined as V.sub.1, a cumulative pore volume at a relative pressure P/P.sub.0=10.sup.−7 is defined as V.sub.2 in a nitrogen adsorption test, and has a BET specific surface area of 800 m.sup.2/g or more.
Titanium dioxide aqueous dispersion and method for producing same
Provided are a titanium dioxide aqueous dispersion having high dispersibility and little aggregation or coarse particles, and a method for producing the same. The titanium dioxide aqueous dispersion contains titanium dioxide particles having a hydrophobic compound such as a higher fatty acid or a salt thereof on the surface, an aqueous dispersion medium, a nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 10 or higher, and a basic compound such as an alkanolamine, and the pH is in the 8.5-13 range. The method for producing a titanium dioxide aqueous dispersion has a step for mixing the titanium dioxide particles having a hydrophobic compound on the surface, the aqueous dispersion medium, the nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 10 or higher, and the basic compound to bring the pH of the aqueous dispersion into the 8.5-13 range.

The present invention relates to a lithium metal composite oxide with a layered structure wherein: at least Li, Ni, and an element X are included; the element X is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Co, Mn, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn, B, Al, Ga, Ti, Zr, Ge, Fe, Cu, Cr, V, W, Mo, Sc, Y, Nb, La, Ta, Tc, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Cd, In, and Sn; and an average three-dimensional particle unevenness of primary particles with an equivalent spherical diameter of at least 1.0 μm is at least 1.91 and less than 2.9.
