A fluid treatment apparatus includes: a first tank portion arranged to receive a first fluid from a first fluid source; a second tank portion adapted to contain a second fluid and receive water molecules of the first fluid from the first tank portion, wherein the concentration of the second fluid is higher than that of the first fluid; a third tank portion arranged to collect the water molecules of the first fluid from the second tank portion; a first membrane positioned between the first and second tank portions and arranged to filter the water molecules of the first fluid from the first tank portion; and a second membrane positioned between the second and third tank portions and arranged to obtain the water molecules of the first fluid from the second tank portion, wherein the second membrane has a greater permeability than that of the first membrane.

The system includes a system inlet connectable to a source of water to be treated; a water distribution manifold connected to the system inlet and including a plurality of valves structured and arranged to provide a configurable flow path along the water distribution manifold; a plurality of water treatment vessels each having an inlet and an outlet connected to the water distribution manifold; and a system outlet connected to the outlet of a last of the plurality of water treatment vessels. The plurality of valves are selectively operable to provide for sections of the water distribution manifold to switch between flowing water into one or more of the plurality of water treatment vessels or receiving water from the one or more of the plurality of water treatment vessels. Methods of treating water using the systems are also disclosed.

A water purification system provides clean water for the consumption by livestock by using a continuously recirculating water loop. Optionally, a circulating pump moves the water within the water loop in a flow direction. A water supply inlet is fluidically connected to the water loop to provide additional water. A particle filter system (or systems) is fluidically connected in series and removes dissolved solids or particulates within the water. An ozone purification system and/or with the addition of other antimicrobial or purification agents is fluidically connected in parallel to a portion of the continuously recirculating feedback monitored and control water loop. The ozone purification system is disposed downstream of the particle filter system and RO (or similar) system in relation to the flow direction. A feeding station is connected in series with the continuously recirculating water loop disposed downstream of the ozone purification system in relation to the flow direction.

A system and method for treating reverse-osmosis (RO) concentrated water with high temporary hardness. The system includes a crystallization unit, a precipitation unit, a dewatering unit, and a programmable logic controller (PLC) system. The crystallization unit, precipitation unit and dewatering unit are connected in series, and the PLC system is configured to control pumps, valves, and displays in the crystallization unit, precipitation unit and dewatering unit. The crystallization unit includes a storage tank and a crystallization reactor communicated therewith. The crystallization reactor is provided with a pH meter, a liquid-level gauge, and a stirrer. A connection pipe between the crystallization reactor and the RO concentrated water is provided with an inlet pump and a inlet valve. A connection pipe between the crystallization reactor and the storage tank is provided with a feeding pump and a feeding valve.

The predetermined amount of coagulant is based on the contamination level or a turbidity of the treated grey water.

Systems and methods for stormwater management

A fluid management system including an inlet configured to receive pre-processed fluid is provided. The system includes a filtering apparatus configured to remove contaminants from the pre-processed fluid. The filtering apparatus includes a plate having a first opening. A first manifold pipe is disposed on the plate and includes one or more perforations and a second opening at least partially aligned with the first opening. A second manifold pipe is disposed on the plate and includes one or more perforations. Filter media is disposed between the first manifold pipe and the second manifold pipe and is configured to separate the contaminants from the pre-processed fluid. The system also includes an outlet coupled to the second manifold pipe to receive processed fluid from the filtering apparatus.
