DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING HIGH-PURITY HYDROGEN AND/OR OXYGEN BY ELECTROLYSIS OF WATER
20230044196 · 2023-02-09 ·

A device for preparing high-purity hydrogen and/or oxygen by electrolyzing water, including an electrolyzer and a degasser for degassing desalted water. The degasser is located at the upstream of the electrolyzer. After desalted water is heated and degassed in the degasser, the content of gaseous impurities, particularly argon, can be reduced to several ppb (weight ratio). The hydrogen and oxygen generated after the desalted and degassed water is electrolyzed in the electrolyzer also contain an extremely small amount of argon, so that the requirements in semiconductor industry are met. Also involved is a method of preparing high-purity hydrogen and/or oxygen by using the device.

SYSTEM FOR SAMPLING SEDIMENT ON A BOTTOM OF A LIQUID MEDIUM
20180002890 · 2018-01-04 ·

System for removing sediments from a bed of a liquid environment such as a harbor or a pond, characterized in that it comprises a conduit (30), the lower extremity of which forms a moving suction mouth (31) that is to be placed substantially at the level of the bed, and the upper extremity of which leads into the open air so that said mouth (31) is under atmospheric pressure, said system comprising means for carrying out a local stirring operation (41, 42, 43, 44, 53) within said mouth and discharging means (50, 51, 52) connecting said mouth (31) to the surface of said liquid environment, in which these sediments circulate.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE DESALINATION OF WATER BY MEANS OF THERMAL DEIONISATION AND LIQUID-PHASE ION EXTRACTION LIQUID

Disclosed is a method for treating water, including the extraction of at least two ionic species, the ionic species including an anionic species and a cationic species and being present in the water to be treated, the method especially including a step of mixing a liquid hydrophobic organic phase and the water to be treated, the water to be treated being in the liquid state, in order to subsequently obtain liquid treated water and a hydrophobic liquid organic phase loaded with the ionic species, and a step of thermal regeneration of the organic phase loaded with chemical species. Also disclosed are compounds and compositions that can be used in the method.

PROCESS FOR CONTROLLING OF THE TREATMENT OF WASTE FLUID GENERATED DURING A PETROCHEMICAL PROCESS USING AN INCINERATOR

A process for treating waste fluid generated during a petrochemical process. The process comprises: subjecting at least one first water-based wastewater stream to at least one freeze concentration stage so as to produce a third clean water stream and a fourth concentrated water-based wastewater stream, subjecting at least one second organic fluid-based waste fluid stream to at least one separation stage so as to produce a fifth purified product stream and a sixth concentrated organic fluid-based waste fluid stream, forwarding the fourth concentrated water-based wastewater stream and the sixth concentrated organic fluid-based waste fluid stream to an incinerator, and incinerating the streams in the incinerator. The process is controlled such that incineration of the sixth concentrated organic fluid-based waste fluid stream generates at least 70% of an energy necessary to incinerate the fourth concentrated water-based wastewater stream.
