Sewage Treatment Method
20230093739 · 2023-03-23 ·

A method for treating sewage to avoid sludge dumping. The sewage treatment method is a multistage process for sanitizing raw sewage and producing easily managed environmentally safe byproducts. Raw sewage or partially treated sewage is processed to remove and treat any liquids leaving sterilized solids that are compacted for limiting the environmental footprint. The method employs mechanical, thermal, radiation, and chemical treatments to the sewage to produce safe biodegradable materials. The treated final product may be used as fertilizer, fillers, aggregate, or compost.

Sequestering agents, kits therefor, and methods of using sequestering agents and kits therefor

Provided are sequestering agents for sequestering non-water moieties from an aqueous solution. The sequestering agents may comprise a detergent; and a polymer operable to stabilize formation of a detergent micelle thereby causing the detergent and polymer to self-assemble into a nanonet upon exposure to the aqueous solution. Also provided are kits therefore and methods for use of the sequestering agents and kits.

Water clarification method and device

Process and apparatus for purifying liquid

Disclosed herein are systems and methods of purification of liquid from colloidal particles. More specifically, disclosed are systems and methods for treating water by effecting aggregation of colloidal particles and thus improving their sedimentation, by enhancing grouping of the particles using accelerating, decelerating, and reversing velocity gradients within the liquid. The disclosed methods and systems for water treatment allow for continuous treatment of a contaminated water stream in a single flocculation and sedimentation vessel (i.e. a hybrid process).

ENHANCED FLOCCULATION AND CLARIFICATION OF PRODUCED WATER USING NANOPARTICLES

Various illustrative embodiments of a process for enhanced flocculation and clarification of produced water from oil and gas wells using nanoparticles are provided herein. Certain nanoparticles can increase the settling rate of solids in produced water when used alone or combined with certain conventional flocculents.

Systems and processes for treatment of solutions

A treatment system is provided and comprises a precipitation unit and a recovery unit. The precipitation unit is configured to treat a solution using one or more miscible organic solvents to produce a mixture of precipitate solids and a liquid. The recovery unit is in fluid communication with the precipitation unit and configured to facilitate separating the liquid at least into an organic phase liquid and an aqueous phase liquid comprising a portion of the one or more miscible organic solvents. The treatment system further comprises a purification unit comprising one or more membrane devices in fluid communication with the recovery unit and configured to separate at least a portion of the one or more miscible organic solvents in the aqueous phase liquid from the aqueous phase liquid. A treatment system and a treatment process are also presented.
