MAGNETIC TREATMENT OF DRINKING WATER BY HYDROMAGNETIC RESONATORS WITH PERMANENT MAGNETS CONTAINED THEREIN
Introduced here are treatment systems and associated processes for treating water using magnetic fields. A treatment system can comprise a hydromagnetic resonator that creates the magnetic fields through which water can be directed. A hydromagnetic resonator can include at least one expansion chamber that provides a tortuous path along which water is able to flow through a magnetic field created by an arrangement of permanent magnets and at least one convergent-divergent nozzle designed to accelerate the flow of waterpassing through a throat segment. Water directed through a hydromagnetic resonator will be magnetically treated while flowing through the magnetic field created by the arrangement of permanent magnets within each expansion chamber and then pressurized while flowing through the throat segment of each convergent-divergent nozzle.
Heat dissipation apparatus and methods for UV-LED photoreactors
A UV reactor irradiates a flow of fluid with UV radiation. The reactor comprises: a fluid conduit defined by a heat conducting conduit body comprising one or more heat conducting walls for permitting a flow of fluid therethrough; a UV-LED operatively connected to a PCB and oriented for directing radiation into the fluid conduit. The PCB comprises a heat conducting substrate having a first surface. The conduit body is in thermal contact with the first surface of the heat conducting substrate. Heat is dissipated from the UV-LED via the heat conducting substrate, the thermal contact between the first surface of the heat conducting substrate and the heat conducting conduit body, and from the one or more heat conducting walls of the heat conducting conduit body to the fluid flowing through the fluid conduit.
Filter assembly for ice making appliance
A filter cartridge assembly for an ice making appliance having a rectilinear filter cartridge with a plurality of partitions that are positioned within an internal chamber, form multiple sub-chambers, and create a non-linear pathway for the flow of water through the filter cartridge. Filter media positioned in the sub-chambers of the filter cartridge are configured to remove dissolved solids from water travelling through the filter cartridge and used by the appliance to create ice, including clear ice.
WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS AND WATER TREATMENT METHOD
A water treatment apparatus, upper surfaces of two of the consecutively arranged ground electrodes are alternately inclined in opposite directions with respect to a horizontal plane, a gap is formed between a lower surface of an upper side ground electrode and an upper surface of a lower side ground electrode, a voltage is applied to a discharge electrode provided in the gap, thereby forming discharges both in air between the discharge electrode and the lower surface of the upper side ground electrode and in air between the discharge electrode and the upper surface of the lower side ground electrode, and water to be treated is caused to continuously flow downward from the ground electrode of an uppermost part to the ground electrode of a lowermost part along the respective upper surfaces such that the water to be treated is treated.
FRACTAL FLOW DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
A fractal flow device comprising at least one fractal pack. The at least one fractal pack comprises at least two fractal cells, where each fractal cell comprises a fractal distributor, a chamber adjacent the fractal distributor, and a fractal collector adjacent the chamber. Methods of using the fractal flow device are also disclosed.
METHOD OF FLOW PATH IMPROVEMENTS IN WATER/OIL SEPARATORS USING HYDROPHOBIC/HYDROPHILIC MATERIALS FOR CAPACITY INCREASE & IMPROVING PRODUCED WATER QUALITY
A system an oil-water separation system including a vessel for receiving an oil-water mixture and passing a treated water having a lower concentration of oil than the oil-water mixture. The system further includes a first overflow baffle for directing the oil-water mixture fluid flow over the first overflow baffle, and a first underflow baffle positioned downstream along a fluid flow pathway of the first overflow baffle for directing the oil-water mixture fluid flow under the first underflow baffle, and a second overflow baffle positioned downstream along the fluid flow pathway of the first underflow baffle having a mesh with a plurality of perforations which directs fluid flow over the second overflow baffle and through the plurality of perforations. The second overflow baffle permits a water portion of the oil-water mixture to traverse through the mesh and an oil portion of the oil-water mixture to traverse over the mesh.
