Disclosed is an apparatus and method for synchronously treating sewage and sludge through a step-feed partial nitrification coupling anaerobic ammonia oxidation process, belonging to the biological treatment field. Ammonia rich landfill leachate is firstly pumped into an aerobic reactor to realize partial nitrification process; exogenous surplus sludge coupling with partial nitrification reactor effluent are input to an anoxic reactor together for achieving integrated fermentation and denitrification process; finally, effluent from the anoxic reactor is pumped into an integrated autotrophic nitrogen removal reactor by a step-feed mode, the integrated reactor contains two main running units of aeration and anoxic stirring, ammonia is oxidized into nitrite in aeration stage, and the generated nitrite and ammonia contained in secondary influent are further removed through anammox process which operates stably and reliably, realizes efficient nitrogen removal from landfill leachate without external carbon source addition, and realizes the purpose of exogenous excess sludge reduction simultaneously.
Methods for anaerobic waste digestion
Methods for generating methane from animal waste by anaerobic digestion using bacteria. A screen separator removes suspended solids greater in size than a predetermined size ranging from about 50μ to about 150μ. An electrocoagulation unit electrochemically hydrolyses the waste, causing particles to settle out. A dissolved carbon air flotation has a CO.sub.2 bubbler for separating large particles from small particles by flotation. An anaerobic digester produces biogas. The digester has a biocurtain for growing the bacteria and a heat exchanger for heating the bacteria. The biocurtain surface is convoluted to retain the bacteria. A membrane module removes CO.sub.2. A knock out pot for removes droplets of water. A scrubber removes water vapor, particulates, and contaminant gas. A compressor boosts pressure. A gas chromatograph monitors the biogas composition. A flare skid lowers excess pressure for safety. Biogas is injected into a local pipeline system. A process control is used for controlling the anaerobic waste digestion system.
METHOD FOR PREPARING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS FROM BIOLOGICAL SLUDGE CONTAINING MICROBIAL CELLS
A method for preparing agricultural products from a biological sludge containing microbial cells includes the steps of: subjecting the biological sludge to a pretreatment process which includes introducing ozone and supplying a hydraulic pressure to generate cavitation to destroy cell wall of the microbial cells; and subjecting the pretreated biological sludge to a solid-liquid separation treatment to obtain a solid fraction including cell debris and a liquid fraction including a cell lysate solution.
COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING ARSENIC AND THEIR USE IN METHODS OF TREATMENT
A pharmaceutical composition is provided comprising a highly soluble arsenic carbonate and/or bicarbonate compound and which is useful in the treatment of a variety of cancers, including acute promyelocytic leukaemia. The arsenic carbonate and/or bicarbonate salt acts as a solid, and so orally deliverable, improved bioequivalent delivery form of arsenic trioxide IV solutions.
Methods and apparatus for solid liquid separation
Described herein are methods and apparatus for solid-liquid separation with high efficiency, especially in treating spent filter backwash and sedimentation tank sludge produced in the water treatment process. It combines and applies gravity, electromagnetic force, dynamic filtration, and gravity condensation, magnetic and gravitational compression in one integrated device that produces high quality effluent water (less than 10 ppm suspended solid) and highly condensed sludge (less than 94-96% water content).
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE TREATMENT OF ORGANIC MATTER USING THICKENING AND THERMAL TREATMENT
The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, comprising the following steps: The organic matter is first thickened to increase the solids concentration. The thickened organic matter is supplied directly into a digester. The organic matter is then removed from the digester by way of a recirculation line, thermally treated and returned to the digester. The invention further relates to a device for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, comprising a digester, a thickener and a recirculation line, where the thickener is arranged upstream of the digester, and the recirculation line is designed to supply organic matter from the digester directly to the thermal treatment device, and to return the treated organic matter to the digester.

A sewage treatment apparatus comprises an external box body internally being provided with an anaerobic zone, an aerobic zone, a settling zone, a sewage reduction zone and an apparatus zone separated from each other, wherein the anaerobic zone, the aerobic zone, the settling zone and the sewage reduction zone communicate in sequence, the anaerobic zone communicates with a septic tank, the aerobic zone communicates with the anaerobic zone to reflux a part of mixed liquid to the anaerobic zone, the settling zone communicates with the anaerobic zone to reflux a part of active sludge to the anaerobic zone, and the sludge reduction zone communicates with the anaerobic zone or the septic tank; and the apparatus zone is internally provided with a detection unit for detecting various parameters during a sewage treatment process and a controller for controlling working states according to a detection result of the detection unit.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE TREATMENT OF ORGANIC MATTER, INVOLVING RECIRCULATION OF DIGESTED SLUDGE
The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, where the organic matter is first fed to a disintegration system. The organic matter is then subjected to thermal hydrolysis in the disintegration system to form disintegrated matter. The disintegrated matter is fed to a digester in which the disintegrated matter is at least partially digested such that digested sludge is formed, where at least part of the digested sludge obtained is recirculated via a recirculation line to a point upstream of the disintegration system. The invention further relates to a device for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, comprising a disintegration system, a digester downstream thereof, and a recirculation line for at least partially digested disintegrated matter, said recirculation line extending from a point downstream of the digester to a point upstream of the thermal disintegration system.
