Decontaminant, carbon/polymer composite, decontamination sheet member and filter medium
A filter medium of the present invention includes a porous carbon material having a value of a specific surface area by a nitrogen BET method of 1×10.sup.2 m.sup.2/g or more, a volume of fine pores by a BJH method of 0.3 cm.sup.3/g or more, and a particle size of 75 μm or more, alternatively, a porous carbon material having a value of a specific surface area by a nitrogen BET method of 1×10.sup.2 m.sup.2/g or more, a total of volumes of fine pores having a diameter of from 1×10.sup.−9 m to 5×10.sup.−7 m, obtained by a non-localized density functional theory method, of 1.0 cm.sup.3/g or more, and a particle size of 75 μm or more.
Devices, methods and systems for priming water filters
Devices, methods and systems for at least priming water filters are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, a device includes a barrel portion, a first opening, a handle portion, a second opening, and a bottom surface for engaging objects of various shapes and sizes, wherein at least a portion of the device is able to be rolled back onto itself at least once by a user. In one or more embodiments, a system includes: a device, a water filter and a faucet. In one or more embodiments, a method for using a device includes: operably attaching a water filter to the device, operably attaching the device to a faucet, applying water pressure from the faucet in order to prime the water filter, and observing the effects of water pressure on the device.
WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
A UV reactor for disinfecting water and including a UV source printed circuit board assembly transfers heat to a heat sink in the form of a water facing thermal coupler. The UV source printed circuit board assembly may include a metal clad printed circuit board having a thermal contact region in thermal communication with the heat sink.
Portable Water Heater Assembly
A portable water heater assembly for heating water being dispensed into a drinking glass includes a base that has a fluid reservoir integrated within the base to contain a fluid and a fill port integrated into the base. A bottle is provided to contain water and the bottle is insertable into the fill port to direct the water into the fluid reservoir. A faucet is integrated into the base to dispense the water from the fluid reservoir. A heating element is integrated into the faucet and the heating element is in thermal communication with the faucet. The heating element heats the faucet when the heating element is turned on thereby heating the water when the water flows through the faucet.
Hair treatment system, treatments and apparatus
A hand held shower head configured to deliver a continuous dose of water dispersed treatment from a water disintegratable treatment source, the shower head including: a hollow body having water inlet opening and water outlet, the water outlet defined by a perforated plate, and a mesh formation disposed within the hollow body between the water inlet opening and the perforated plate, wherein the water inlet opening, hollow body and perforated plate are configured to create in use a pressurised turbulent water flow within the hollow body prior to exiting through the perforated plate, whereby a water disintegratable tablet treatment source introduced into the hollow body prior to use, is then agitated by the turbulent water flow against the mesh in an abrading manner and thereby dispersed into the water flow exiting the perforated plate. A water disintegratable tablet comprising emulsifier, thickening agent, surfactants, oil and rheology modifier is also disclosed.
ACTIVATED CARBON FOR ADSORBING MOLECULAR POLAR SUBSTANCE
The present invention aims to provide an activated carbon for adsorbing a molecular polar substance with excellent adsorption property to a molecular polar substance and regeneratability. The present invention provides an activated carbon for adsorbing a molecular polar substance obtained by an alkali activation method, wherein the activated carbon has an acidic functional group in an amount of 2.1 meq/g or more, a basic functional group in an amount of more than 0 to 0.6 meq/g, and a specific surface area of 1000 to 4000 m.sup.2/g.
Water faucet incorporating disinfecting features
A water dispensing unit adapted for communication with a water supply includes a spout configured to receive water from the water supply and dispense the water to a receptacle for consumption. The water supply includes water received from a municipal water supply and contained within a space directly upstream of a base of the spout. A flow of water from the water supply and into the spout via the base is a downstream water flow. A disinfecting mechanism operable to disinfect water in at least one of the spout or a space immediately upstream of the spout.
