ONSITE MICROORGANISM-BASED TREATMENT METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS
Conventional methods for treating fat, oil, grease (FOG) and other build-up in wastewater systems (including grease traps) of restaurants and the like typically rely on chemical-based detergents, which may be damaging both to the environment and to the wastewater system itself. While some bio-friendly alternatives are known, a common problem with all these agents is that they are “flushed through” the system rapidly, and thus are relatively ineffective and inefficient. In providing an onsite system and method comprising cultivating micro-organisms and then using a carrier to deliver them to an affected environment, the present invention provides a solution that is more efficient in requiring less “starter” ingredients as well as more effective in ensuring the cultivated micro-organisms are delivered to, maintain sustained contact with, and have adequate time to treat, the undesirable substance(s).
Fluid waste filtration system with grease and garbage traps
A fluid waste filtration system includes a housing configured to be coupled between and in fluid communication with a sink and a primary grease trap. The housing defines a chamber and includes a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a grease outlet each in fluid communication with the chamber. The grease outlet is defined in a plane at or above a plane of the fluid outlet. A wall is disposed in the housing and divides the chamber into a first chamber and a second chamber. The wall is configured to direct a fluid that flows into the first chamber through the fluid inlet toward the grease outlet.
STRUCTURAL DRAIN TRAP FOR PREVENTING SPREAD OF PATHOGENS BETWEEN FLOORS
Disclosed herein is a structural drain trap for preventing spread of pathogens between floors, which has an improved structure in which it includes a cover and an outer chamber that are easily coupled to and decoupled from each other and provides a drain line configured to have a double structure at inner and outer portions thereof. Therefore, it is possible to prevent pathogens such as Coronavirus as well as odors or pests from flowing backward as much as possible, and thus to prevent pathogens from spreading through the gap between the floors of buildings such as apartments.
SURFACE WATER CLEANING SYSTEMS AND METHOD OF THEIR USE
Provided herein are systems and methods for cleaning surface water streams. More specifically, surface water is cleaned using the systems and methods described herein wherein the surface water cleaning system comprises sequential aligned basins which are configured to direct water flow through one or a series of filter media such that the filtered water stream is reduced in organic chemicals and/or particles.
Device for Removing Fats, Oils and/or Grease (FOGs) from Water
A device and a method for removing fats, oils and/or grease (“FOGs”) from water comprise a separator, wherein the separator removes the FOGs that separate from the water under gravity, and a filter wherein the filter removes the FOGs remaining in the water after the water has passed through the separator. The filter comprises several layers having different compositions suitable for removing FOGs from water, including a layer comprising granular activated carbon bonded together and wrapped in polyester.
Removable rainwater downspout filter
There is provided a removable downspout filter for installation into a downspout. The removable downspout filter includes a filter basket with attached face plate. The face plate includes side flaps configured to wrap around the downspout when the downspout filter is installed and is generally configured to blend in with the downspout. Also provided is a downspout with installed filter and kits including the same.
Variable Flow Adjuster for Grease Separator
A grease or oil separator system that includes a grease interceptor body with a variable flow control assembly. The grease interceptor system is a large tank with an inlet for wastewater and a downstream outlet for passing the wastewater minus separated grease and oil into a sewer system. Inside the tank, the grease floats to the top so that it can be removed through an opening in the top wall that provides an access port for clean out. The pickup for the outlet is located toward the bottom of the tank near the bottom wall so that only water separated from the grease flows into the sewer system. The variable flow control assembly varies the size of an opening in a conduit inside the interceptor body. Varying the size of the opening controls the flow from the inlet into the tank.
AUTONOMOUS CHEMICAL DOSING SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A wastewater treatment management system including a plurality of monitoring stations, a treating station for introducing a treating agent to wastewater, and a principal processing facility for controlling a dose of the treating agent. A system configured to treat a wastewater stream collection system including a source of a treating agent, a metering valve, a sensor, and a controller operatively connected to the metering valve and the sensor. A non-transitory computer-readable medium including instruction that instruct a controller to perform a method of controlling addition of a treating agent into a wastewater stream collection system. A controller for a system configured to treat odor and control corrosion in a wastewater stream collection system that is operatively connectable to a metering valve for administering a treating agent to a wastewater stream collection system.
Compositions and methods for treating wastewater
Compositions and methods and systems for treating wastewater within a wastewater treatment system of described. In an embodiment, a method for treating wastewater may include adding a magnesium compound to wastewater within a wastewater treatment system. The method may also include adding an effective amount of a dispersing agent and one or more of a free magnesium control agent and a seed material to wastewater within the wastewater treatment system to control the formation of struvite scale within the wastewater treatment system. Other compositions and methods are described.
IMPROVEMENTS IN AND RELATING TO EFFLUENT
The use of ferric sulphate or polyferric sulphate to treat liquid animal effluent to reduce methane emissions therefrom.
