Water-softening system
A water-softening system includes a filter device including filter units that are provided in at least some of a plurality of supply channels arranged in parallel to supply raw water to a consumption site and that remove at least part of ionic matter contained in supplied raw water by electro-deionization and discharge soft water containing less ionic matter than the raw water, a plurality of supply valves provided in the plurality of supply channels to open or close the supply channels, and a processor connected to the filter device and the plurality of supply valves. The processor determines whether water is supplied to the consumption site and controls at least one of the plurality of supply valves to remain open to maintain a state in which water is allowed to be supplied to the consumption site, when it is determined that no water is supplied to the consumption site.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OXIDIZING DISINFECTANTS COMBINED WITH MOVING BED BIOFILM REACTORS
In one embodiment, a system includes a disinfection system configured to disinfect a first fluid. The system further includes a moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) system configured to treat a second fluid, wherein the disinfection system is fluidly coupled to the MBBR system upstream of the MBBR system, downstream of the MBBR, or wherein the disinfection system is disposed in the MBBR system.
Process to safeguard against waterborne bacterial pathogens
A method for mitigating microbe buildup within a potable water supply system including: cleaning of the water supply system; acquiring data including at least water conditions at multiple points within the potable water supply system; a control system adjusting local water conditions within the potable water supply system; a bacteria monitor assessing water within the potable water system to determine at least levels of bacteria within the potable water system; and applying an antimicrobial condition to water within the potable water system.
Antimicrobial apparatus for tubing
A system including a tube for transferring fluid and a lighting assembly. The lighting assembly includes a housing having an opening that is configured to receive the tube and one or more light sources configured to emit high intensity narrow spectrum light in a direction towards the tube when the tube is received by the opening.
DEVICE FOR WATER TREATMENT
The present invention relates to a device (1) for liquid treatment, comprising an outer tubular body (10, 20, 30) with an extension along a longitudinal axis a; an inlet conduit (10) for a water flow; an outlet conduit (20) of the water flow in fluid communication with said inlet conduit (10); a central body (45) contained in a central zone inside said outer tubular body (10, 20, 30) and in contact with said water flow, the central body (45) comprising a plurality of discs (40, 41, 42, 43, 44) aligned longitudinally along the direction of the water flow, each of which has one or more holes (40a, 40b, 40c, 40d, 40e, 40f) arranged in a circular crown, each central disc (40, 41, 42, 43, 44) being rotated by a predetermined angle with respect to the preceding central disc (40, 41, 42, 43, 44).
Water treatment
A method treats an aqueous system to inhibit growth of one or more micro-organisms therein and/or to reduce the number of live micro-organisms therein. The method includes adding treatment agents to an aqueous system wherein said treatment agents include (a) a phosphonium compound; and (b) a compound having formula: M(XO.sub.2).sub.n wherein: M is a Group I or Group II metal; X is a halogen; and n is 1 or 2.
Water main recirculating system with filter by-pass and isolation and method of using same
A closed conduit system for use in a water supply system includes a recirculating unit configured to connect to an isolated section between a first point and a second point of the water supply system. The recirculating unit includes a first filter unit defining a first closed circuit including the isolated section and adapted to perform a first treatment. A second filter unit defines a second closed circuit including the isolated section and is adapted to perform a second treatment. At least one pump is capable of generating a flow of water through the first and the second closed circuit, and a valve selectively controls flow through either the first or the second closed circuit.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED SAMPLING, TESTING AND TREATING LARGE WATER BASINS
Embodiments of the invention provide a method, system and computer program product for automated sampling, testing and treating large water basins. In an embodiment of the invention, the method includes storing a plurality of locations of a water basin, where each location includes at least one chemical delivery outlet. The method further includes monitoring water quality for each of the plurality of locations and mapping a water quality value to each of the locations. The method even further includes responsive to the water quality value failing to meet a threshold value in one of the locations, automatically determining an amount of chemical based on the water quality value and delivering the amount of chemical only to the one of the locations through its corresponding chemical delivery outlet.
COMPACT WATER HEATING AND TREATMENT SYSTEM
A water heating and treatment system includes a water heater operatively coupled to a water heater controller, a hot water outflow line from the water heater, and a cold water supply line to supply water to the water heater. The cold water supply line includes at least one of an anti-scale device operatively coupled to an anti-scale device controller, and at least one sanitation device operatively coupled to a sanitation device controller. The mixing station is operatively coupled to a mixing station controller. The mixing station supplies heated water to at least a first temperature zone at a first hot water temperature. Controllers of the water heater controller, the anti-scale device controller, the sanitation device controller and the mixing station controller are co-located at a front of a single enclosure behind an openable door, the controllers operatively coupled to a supervisory controller.
