The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a glass-ceramic blank for dental purposes with lithium silicate as crystal phase, in which lithium silicate blanks that are no longer required and in particular residues thereof are used as starting material and which allows the production of a homogeneous starting glass within a short time.

Processing fixture

A processing fixture can be employed for processing a glass cover plate and include: a fixture body, a first sensing component, a roller component, and a control module connected with the first sensing component. The fixture body is made from flexible materials and provided with a positioning groove matched with shape of an outer surface of the glass cover plate. The first sensing component is configured to detect current dimension parameter of the glass cover plate and/or an attaching layer attached to the glass cover plate in the positioning groove, and transmit the detected current dimension parameter to the control module. The control module is configured to control cooperation of the roller component and the fixture body according to the current dimension parameter, so as to correct the current dimension parameter of the glass cover plate or the attaching layer as a target dimension parameter.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FORMED GLASS AND HEATING APPARATUS

A method for manufacturing a formed glass includes using a heating apparatus. The heating apparatus includes a heating element and a heat reservoir having a transmittance of 50% or more in a wavelength of 0.5 um to 2.5 um. The heat reservoir is arranged between the heating element and a glass substrate as an object to be heated. The glass substrate is heated with the heating element, and the glass substrate is formed into a desired shape.

CURVED SURFACE COVER GLASS, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, AND IN-VEHICLE DISPLAY MEMBER

A plate-like glass includes a chemically strengthened glass having a first surface, a second surface facing the first surface, and an end surface connecting the first surface and second surface. When a tangential direction from an arbitrary point on the first surface is assumed to be an X-axis, a direction orthogonal to the X-axis is assumed to be a Y-axis, and a direction orthogonal to the X-axis and the Y-axis is assumed to be a Z-axis, the X-axis is a direction in which a first curvature radius R.sub.1 in cross-section of the first surface in an XZ plane passing the X-axis and Z-axis is minimum. The first surface has a curvature part in which the surface is bent in the X-axis direction on the first surface and the first curvature radius R.sub.1 is within a specific range.
