Rotary Batch And Cullet Preheater System And Method
20230038523 · 2023-02-09 ·

Method of producing molten glass and system therefor, including providing a glass melting furnace configured to melt a glass sample, the glass sample including glass batch material including soda ash, or cullet or post-consumer cullet, or any combination of batch material, cullet and post-consumer cullet. The method includes introducing glass sample into a chamber of a rotary drum heat exchanger having at least one heat exchange tube; introducing the exhaust gas into the tube; causing a transfer of heat from the exhaust gas in the tube to the glass sample in the chamber to volatilize any organic impurities in the glass sample, heat the glass sample and evaporate water from the glass sample to dry it, the evaporated water forming water vapor in the chamber; contacting the dried sample with the water vapor; and discharging the dried sample from the rotary drum heat exchanger and introducing it into the furnace.

FIBER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

A fiber and a fiber manufacturing method are provided, in which IGCC slag constitute a component of raw materials of the fiber. The fiber can be fabricated stably from the melt of the raw materials by the method in which the raw materials are preheated up to 1300° C. or higher; the raw materials are maintained at the same temperature for certain period of time; subsequently, the temperature of the raw materials are raised further to cause the melted materials are spun into fiber.

Amorphous silica products, articles, and particles and methods of producing amorphous silica products, articles, and particles from concrete

Concrete may be melted to form a glass product. Methods and batch compositions including concrete may be used to produce amorphous silica materials including, but not limited to, glass, container glass, fiber glass, glass bead, glass spheres, sheet or plate glass, glass aggregate, glass sand, abrasives, proppants, foamed glass, and manufactured glass articles. The initial processing steps include preparing a melt batch comprising concrete and, optionally, other components, melting the melt batch, and cooling the melted melt batch. Further processing steps may be utilized to produce the glass article.

METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF GRANULAR MATERIALS DESIGNED TO BE USED FOR MANUFACTURING ARTICLES IN SLAB OR BLOCK FORM FROM A MIX
20220396525 · 2022-12-15 ·

Method for the production of granular materials designed to be used as aggregates and fillers in a mix containing a binder for the manufacture of articles in slab or block form. The method comprises a step of melting a mixture of selected minerals having a specific chemical composition, a step of casting the molten material, a step of cooling the cast material until a predetermined temperature is reached and a step of crushing and/or grinding the cooled material to obtain granular materials having a selected particle size and suitable for use as aggregates or fillers in the mix for the manufacture of articles in slab or block form. Moreover, the method comprises, upstream of the melting step, a step for recovery and collection of the manufacturing waste of other previously manufactured articles. The manufacturing waste is designed to compose at least partially the mixture of selected minerals. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing articles in slab or block form from a mix containing the aggregates and the fillers and a binder.

Solidifying method of hydroxides of radionuclides

The present disclosure provides a solidifying method of a radionuclide. The solidifying method of the radionuclide includes operations of: providing a low melting point glass including Bi.sub.2O.sub.3, B.sub.2O.sub.3, ZnO and SiO.sub.2; providing a glass mixture mixing a mixture to be treated containing a hydroxide of radionuclide and BaSO.sub.4 and the low melting point glass; and heating the glass mixture.
