Method for preparing all-solid-state photonic crystal fiber preforms by extrusion

A method for preparing all-solid-state photonic crystal fiber preform by extrusion by aligning the center of the first jacking end of the first jacking rod with the center of the core outlet mold. The adverse effect on this part of extruded core glass by oxygen or other impurities in air during the extrusion out of the core outlets can be avoided. The defects on the core glass surface and the cladding glass surface can be effectively removed, and the purity and quality of the core component in the obtained fiber preform can be improved.

OPTICAL FIBER

An optical fiber containing alkali metal elements or the like in which Rayleigh scattering loss can be reduced is provided. An optical fiber includes a core composed of silica glass and a cladding which surrounds the core, has a refractive index lower than a refractive index of the core, and is composed of silica glass containing fluorine. The core contains a first group of dopants and a second group of dopants having a diffusion coefficient lower than a diffusion coefficient of the first group of dopants. The difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of residual stress in the optical fiber is 150 MPa or less.

The technology of this application relates to the field of communication technologies, and an optical fiber raw material composition, an optical fiber, and an optical fiber product. The optical fiber raw material composition includes components of the following molar percentages: AlF.sub.3 10%-50%, BaF.sub.2 3%-20%, CaF.sub.2 3%-20%, YF.sub.3 1%-15%, SrF.sub.2 3%-20%, MgF.sub.2 3%-20%, and TeO.sub.2 1%-35%. The optical fiber prepared by using the optical fiber raw material composition provided in this disclosure can be used in aspects such as a mid-infrared band transmission optical fiber, an optical fiber amplifier, a fiber laser, and an optical fiber sensor.
