Method of manufacturing curved thin glass sheet having functional layer and method of manufacturing curved joined glass sheet having functional layer
The present invention relates to a method capable of easily manufacturing a curved thin glass sheet and a curved joined glass sheet to which functionality is added.
GLASS PLATE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A glass plate includes a first surface provided with a first film; and a second surface provided with a second film and opposite to the first surface. Each of the first film and the second film includes mainly tin oxide and has a sheet resistance value of 20 Ω/□ or less. When film thicknesses of the first and second films are θ.sub.1 nm and θ.sub.2 nm respectively, and when, in the glass plate, a haze value measured from the first surface side for a configuration provided with the first film only is H.sub.1 (%), and a haze value measured from the second surface side for a configuration provided with the second film only is H.sub.2 (%), a value of θ.sub.1 divided by H.sub.1 is 500 or more but 1200 or less, and a value of θ.sub.2 divided by H.sub.2 is 300 or more but 750 or less.
Articles with patterned coatings
Embodiments of a article including include a substrate and a patterned coating are provided. In one or more embodiments, when a strain is applied to the article, the article exhibits a failure strain of 0.5% or greater. Patterned coating may include a particulate coating or may include a discontinuous coating. The patterned coating of some embodiments may cover about 20% to about 75% of the surface area of the substrate. Methods for forming such articles are also provided.
SPANDREL
A spandrel including a first substrate, an intermediate film made of polymer material, and a second, opaque substrate, such that the first substrate is coated with at most two layers which are deposited on the surface located on the side facing the intermediate film made of polymer material and which include at least one upper dielectric layer.
COATED GLAZING
A coated glazing includes a transparent glass substrate and a coating located on the glass substrate. The coating is provided with at least the following layers in sequence starting from the glass substrate: a first layer having a refractive index of more than 1.6, an optional second layer having a refractive index that is less than the refractive index of the first layer, a third layer based on tin dioxide, a fourth layer based on an oxide of silicon, and a fifth layer based on titanium dioxide, wherein the fifth layer is photocatalytic.
COATED GLASS ARTICLE, DISPLAY ASSEMBLY MADE THEREWITH AND METHOD OF MAKING A DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
A coated glass article including a glass substrate and a coating deposited over the glass substrate. The coating includes a first inorganic metal oxide layer deposited over a major surface of the glass substrate. A second inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited over the first inorganic metal oxide layer. A third inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited over the second inorganic metal oxide layer. A fourth inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited over the third inorganic metal oxide layer. The coated glass article exhibits a total visible light transmittance (Illuminant C) of 40% or more and a visible light reflectance (Illuminant C) of 30% or more.
GLASS TREATMENT
A method is disclosed, for removal of tin deposits from a glass substrate during a float glass manufacturing process. An acidic gas, such as hydrogen fluoride, is delivered to the substrate surface using chemical vapour deposition apparatus.
Indium Tin Oxide Thin Films With Both Near-Infrared Transparency and Excellent Resistivity
An indium tin oxide film containing by weight about 90% In.sub.2O.sub.3 and about 10% SnO.sub.2 is prepared using a low-energy deposition sputter process on a substrate. The indium tin oxide film thus obtained has a carrier concentration on the order of 10.sup.20/cm.sup.3 and a carrier mobility greater than 30 cm.sup.2/Vs. The low carrier concentration results in an increased transmission in the near infra-red region, while the high carrier mobility results in good conductive properties.
Microwave oven with full glass door
A microwave oven (2) with a full glass door (12) for preventing microwave leakage from the cooking cavity (6) of the microwave oven (2) is provided. The front plate (8) of the cooking cavity (6) has a conductive material (10), such as a rubber with conductive filler. The inner glass surface (16) of the door (12) has a conductive coating that creates a ground loop with the conductive material (10) on the front plate (8) of the cooking cavity (6) to prevent microwave leakage from the cooking cavity (6).
ARTICLES WITH PATTERNED COATINGS
Embodiments of an article including a substrate and a patterned coating are provided.
