POROUS GLASS CONTAINERS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
A glass container includes a glass body comprising an external surface, an internal surface opposite the external surface, a thickness T extending between the external surface and the internal surface, and an external surface layer extending from the external surface into the thickness of the glass body, wherein the external surface layer has a porosity greater than a porosity of a remainder of the glass body extending from the external surface layer to the internal surface.
FLEXIBLE COVER WINDOW WITH IMPROVED STRENGTH
Disclosed is a glass-based flexible cover window with improved strength including a planar portion formed so as to correspond to a planar region of a flexible display and a folding portion formed so as to be connected to the planar portion, the folding portion being formed so as to correspond to a folding region of the flexible display, wherein the flexible cover window includes a glass substrate and a polyimide (PI) coating layer formed on the glass substrate. The PI coating layer is formed on the glass substrate by direct coating, whereby inherent texture of glass is maintained while the overall thickness of the flexible cover window is reduced, and therefore aesthetics of the flexible cover window are improved.
GLASS USED AS A COMPONENT OF A HEATING DEVICE
A glazing can be used as a constituent element of a heating device or of a fireproof door. The glazing includes a transparent substrate coated with a stack of thin layers including at least one silver-based functional metal layer and an upper protective layer based on zirconium titanium oxide.
GLAZING COMPRISING A PROTECTIVE UPPER LAYER MADE FROM HYDROGENATED CARBON
A material including a transparent substrate coated with a stack acting on infrared radiation includes at least one functional layer and at least one upper protective layer deposited above at least a part of the functional layer. The upper protective layer is a hydrogenated carbon layer, within which layer the carbon atoms form carbon-carbon and carbon-hydrogen bonds and are essentially in an sp.sup.2 hybridization state.
COATINGS OF NON-PLANAR SUBSTRATES AND METHODS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A coated article may comprise a substrate and an optical coating. The substrate may have a major surface comprising a first portion and a second portion. A first direction that is normal to the first portion of the major surface may not be equal to a second direction that is normal to the second portion of the major surface. The optical coating may be disposed on at least the first portion and the second portion of the major surface. The coated article may exhibit at the first portion of the substrate and at the second portion of the substrate hardness of about 8 GPa or greater at an indentation depth of about 50 nm or greater as measured on the anti-reflective surface by a Berkovich Indenter Hardness Test.
Pharmaceutical packages with coatings comprising polycyanurates
The present disclosure is directed to pharmaceutical packages which include a coating that comprises polycyanurate, and methods for the production of such. In one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a pharmaceutical package may comprise a glass container comprising a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface may be an outer surface of the glass container. The pharmaceutical package may further comprise a coating positioned over at least a portion of the first surface of the glass container. The coating may comprise polycyanurate.
COATING WITH THERMAL STABILITY AND ANTI-SCRATCH PROPERTIES, GLASS PRODUCT HAVING SUCH COATING, VARNISH PRODUCT FOR PRODUCING SUCH COATING AND METHOD FOR PROTECTING A GLASS SURFACE AND IN PARTICULAR A PHARMACEUTICAL PRIMARY GLASS CONTAINER
The present invention describes a coating with lubricating and anti-scratch properties, comprising glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane and phenyltriethoxysilane. The present invention further describes a varnish product for producing such coating and a glass product, in particular a pharmaceutical primary glass container having such coating. Last, but not least, a method is disclosed for protecting a glass surface.
Low-color scratch-resistant articles with a multilayer optical film
Embodiments of this disclosure pertain to articles that exhibit scratch-resistance and improved optical properties. In some examples, the article exhibits a color shift of about 2 or less, when viewed at an incident illumination angle in the range from about 0 degrees to about 60 degrees from normal under an illuminant. In one or more embodiments, the articles include a substrate, and an optical film disposed on the substrate. The optical film includes a scratch-resistant layer and an optical interference layer. The optical interference layer may include one or more sub-layers that exhibit different refractive indices. In one example, the optical interference layer includes a first low refractive index sub-layer and a second a second high refractive index sub-layer. In some instances, the optical interference layer may include a third sub-layer.
PHOTOANODE FILM FOR THE PHOTOCATHODE PROTECTION AND THE DURABILITY IMPROVEMENT OF A REINFORCING BAR IN CONCRETES, THE PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND A METHOD OF USING THE PHOTOANODE FILM FOR THE PHOTOCATHODE PROTECTION AND THE DURABILITY IMPROVEMENT OF A REINFORCING BAR IN CONCRETES
The present invention relates to a Z-type heterojunction photoanode film used for the photocathode protection of a reinforcing bar, the preparation method thereof and a method for the corrosion inhibition of mental materials from concrete structures in marine engineering by using the Z-type heterojunction photoanode film used for the photocathode protection of a reinforcing bar. The preparation method includes steps of preparing Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 on the conducting surface of a clean conductive substrate through the hydrothermal process, preparing Fe.sub.2O.sub.3-PANI composite photoanode film by depositing polyaniline on the surface of Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 through the electrochemical synthesis and preparing Ru-Fe.sub.2O.sub.3-PANI composite photoanode film on the surface of the Fe.sub.2O.sub.3-PANI composite photoanode film through the in situ chemical reduction method. The technical solution in the present invention can achieve highly effective photocathode protection of a reinforcing bar from concretes in marine engineering and improve the durability of concrete structures in marine engineering.
