The first surface may be an outer surface of the glass container. The pharmaceutical package may further comprise a coating positioned over at least a portion of the first surface of the glass container. The coating may comprise polycyanurate.

Durable, high performance wire grid polarizer having barrier layer

A method for making a wire grid polarizer (WGP) can provide WGPs with high temperature resistance, robust wires, oxidation resistance, and corrosion protection. In one embodiment, the method can comprise: (a) providing an array of wires on a bottom protection layer; (b) applying a top protection layer on the wires, spanning channels between wires; then (c) applying an upper barrier-layer on the top protection layer and into the channels through permeable junctions in the top protection layer. In a variation of this embodiment, the method can further comprise applying a lower barrier-layer before applying the top protection layer. In another variation, the bottom protection layer and the top protection layer can include aluminum oxide. In another embodiment, the method can comprise applying on the WGP an amino phosphonate then a hydrophobic chemical.

Method for producing a graphene film

Disclosed herein are methods for forming a graphene film on a substrate, the methods comprising depositing graphene on a surface of the substrate by a first vapor deposition step to form a discontinuous graphene crystal layer; depositing a graphene oxide layer on the discontinuous graphene crystal layer to form a composite layer; and depositing graphene on the composite layer by a second vapor deposition step, wherein the graphene oxide layer is substantially reduced to a graphene layer during the second vapor deposition step. Transparent coated substrates comprising such graphene films are also disclosed herein, wherein the graphene films have a resistance of less than about 10 KΩ/sq.

The preparation method includes steps of preparing Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 on the conducting surface of a clean conductive substrate through the hydrothermal process, preparing Fe.sub.2O.sub.3-PANI composite photoanode film by depositing polyaniline on the surface of Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 through the electrochemical synthesis and preparing Ru-Fe.sub.2O.sub.3-PANI composite photoanode film on the surface of the Fe.sub.2O.sub.3-PANI composite photoanode film through the in situ chemical reduction method. The technical solution in the present invention can achieve highly effective photocathode protection of a reinforcing bar from concretes in marine engineering and improve the durability of concrete structures in marine engineering.

The transparent article is provided with a transparent substrate, and a roughened relief surface provided to at least one surface of the transparent substrate. The relief surface has a surface roughness Sq of 50 nm or less measured in a spatial period of 20 μm or greater in the transverse direction.

The present disclosure relates to a method for forming a glass structure having a metallized surface portion. The method may comprise forming a structure using a flowable first material, adapted to form a glass, which includes a metal component. The structure is then treated to remove substantially all solvents and organic components contained in the first flowable material. Finally, the structure is exposed to a bath of a metal salt during which nucleation occurs and a metallized surface coating is formed on at least a portion of an outer surface of the structure.
