FIRE-RESISTANT HEAT-INSULATION COMPOSITION, FIRE-RESISTANT HEAT-INSULATION COMPOSITION SLURRY, FIRE-RESISTANT HEAT-INSULATION BOARD, AND FIRE-RESISTANT HEAT-INSULATION STRUCTURE

Provided is a structure having both fire resistance and heat insulation properties and capable of retaining its shape without being collapsed or deformed even when exposed to a flame. The present invention provides a fire-resistant heat-insulation composition comprising 70 to 250 parts by mass of gypsum based on 100 parts by mass of calcium aluminate having a CaO content of 34% or more, and 0.1 to 20 parts by mass of a fibrous inorganic clay mineral having a crystallization water ratio of 5% or more, based on 100 parts by mass of the total of the calcium aluminate and the gypsum.

Skinning of ceramic honeycomb bodies

A ceramic honeycomb body having a skin that does not block partial cells extending from an inlet face to an outlet face at an outer periphery portion of the body. A method of making the ceramic honeycomb body having the skin includes disposing a sheet on an outer peripheral wall of a honeycomb core having an outer surface spaced apart from interiors of the partial cells and skinning the body having the sheet disposed thereon. Subsequent curing in the method bonds the skin to cell walls of the body spaced apart from interiors of the partial cells.

Composite material comprising a fibrous reinforcement and a poly(phospho-sialate) geopolymer matrix and associated manufacturing method

A composite material containing a matrix and a fibrous reinforcement, in particular a textile embedded in the matrix. The matrix includes a geopolymer of the poly(phospho-sialate) type having the following formula I: (1) (—P—O—Si—O—Al—O—).sub.n in which n is greater than 2. The matrix further includes zirconium covalently bonded to the matrix, especially in the —ZrO form and/or in the —O—Zr—O form. The matrix has a melting temperature greater than 700° C., especially equal to or greater than 1200° C.

Bionic Laminated Thermal Insulation Material

The invention discloses a bionic laminated thermal insulation material, which imitates a multi-thin laminated and thin-layer micro-pore structure of Sequoia sempervirens bark with fire resistance, corrosion resistance and excellent thermal insulation performance. A low thermal conductivity microporous powder is used as main raw material, while reinforcing agent, plasticizer and porosity agent are added to form microporous thin-layer units, and each thin-layer unit is bonded and laminated to make a laminated thermal insulation material. The thermal conductivity of the finished products is as low as 0.02˜0.05 W/m.Math.k, with good thermal insulation and mechanical properties, which can be used in a temperature range below 1000° C., with better thermal insulation and energy-saving effect and toughness than ordinary thermal insulation materials, significantly reducing the thickness of the insulation layer, and can be widely used in industrial furnaces, thermal engineering devices, insulation pipes and other fields.
