Systems and methods for cleanable and slip resistant tile
Disclosed herein are floor tiles comprising, for instance, a substrate and a surface coating provided on an upper surface of the substrate, wherein the surface coating comprises (i) a base formula comprising a glaze and (ii) solid particles comprising tabular alumina.
Antiskid and wear-resistant glaze, antiskid, wear-resistant and easy-to-clean ceramic tile and preparation method thereof
An antiskid and wear-resistant glaze, an antiskid, wear-resistant and easy-to-clean ceramic tile and a preparation method thereof, relating to the technical field of building ceramics, are provided. This antiskid and wear-resistant glaze is prepared by antiskid and wear-resistant particles, a printing paste and sodium tripolyphosphate. This antiskid, wear-resistant and easy-to-clean ceramic tile comprises, from the bottom up, a green body layer, an overglaze layer, a decoration layer, an antiskid and wear-resistant layer and an easy-to-clean protection layer provided in turn, wherein the antiskid and wear-resistant layer is mainly prepared by antiskid and wear-resistant particles, and the easy-to-clean protection layer is mainly prepared by easy-to-clean protection particles.
Process for the preparation of an additive comprising supported and dispersed TiO2 particles
Process for the preparation of an additive comprising TiO.sub.2 particles dispersed on a support of pseudo-layered phyllosilicate-type, comprising the dispersion in water of the support, the acid activation of the support and the high-shear dispersion of the support with the TiO.sub.2 particles Use of the particles obtained by this process as additives with photocatalytic activity for water purification and disinfection, for purification of polluted gas streams and to provide materials, in particular construction materials, with self-cleaning, biocide, deodorization and/or pollution reduction properties in the presence of air and ultraviolet light.

Glaze for a ceramic article
The glaze is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: Fire Clay 10%-25%, Feldspar 30%-40%, Sand 30%-40%, Calcium Silicate 8%-12%, Graphane (i.e., disordered crystalline and hydrogenated double bounded Carbon) 5%-15% or C-doped Boron Nitride (CBN) 5%-15%, various metal oxides as pigments and water. This glaze is applied on the standard glazing operation in the ceramic insulator manufacturing process and is fired in a controlled inert-gas atmosphere.
Systems and methods for cleanable and slip resistant tile
Disclosed herein are floor tiles comprising, for instance, a substrate and a surface coating, wherein the surface coating comprises (i) a base formula comprising a glaze and (ii) particles comprising alumina trihydrate.
PROTECTIVE COATINGS FOR CONCRETE
Inorganic coatings that may be used to coat and protect concrete are disclosed. The protective inorganic coatings include a liquid composition portion comprising water, an alkali metal oxide component and a silicate-containing component. The coatings also include a powder composition portion comprising microspheres, metal oxide powder and optional microfibers. When applied to concrete, the coatings provide chemical and physical protection.
