SHEAR PANEL BUILDING MATERIAL

A shear panel building material that includes a first facing membrane, a core matrix disposed on a face of the first facing membrane, and a semi-rigid or rigid material attached to the core matrix. The core matrix can include microspheres having a size of about 200 microns to about 800 microns, sodium silicate, and ethylene vinyl acetate. In one aspect, the shear panel is substantially free from glue and cement.

ROOFING TILE COATING COMPOSITIONS

Coating compositions are useful for applying to surfaces of molding, include concrete moldings such as roofing tile. The coating composition comprise monomers that provide advantageous properties to reduce water uptake as well as improving the aesthetic appearance.

Antimicrobial Ceramic Tile and Manufacturing Method Thereof

The present invention provides an antimicrobial ceramic tile and manufacturing method thereof. A manufacturing method of an antimicrobial ceramic tile comprises: grinding soils into slurries; drying the slurries into powders by hot air; pressing the powders into a green body through a molding machine; dotting or spraying or showering a glaze slurry on the surface of the green body to form an engobe; dotting the glaze slurry on the engobe to form a ground glaze; mixing a surface glaze and an antimicrobial material into an antimicrobial glaze in a weight ratio of 100:5˜10; grinding water and the antimicrobial glaze into the antimicrobial glaze in a weight ratio of 5˜6:4˜5; and dotting antimicrobial glaze on the ground glaze; finally, rapidly firing the ceramic tile and the antimicrobial glaze into an antimicrobial ceramic tile.

COMPOSITIONS FOR CONTROLLING MICROBIALLY INDUCED CONCRETE CORROSION

This invention provides in one aspect compositions that improve the corrosion-resistance of cementitious materials. In certain embodiments, the compositions of the invention inhibit the growth of acidophilic bacteria thriving in/on cementitious material.

CONTINUOUS READY MIX JOINT TREATMENT AND TEXTURE PRODUCT PRODUCTION

A continuous ready mix joint or texture compound manufacturing system and a method for continuously manufacturing a ready mix joint or texture compound includes a continuous mixer having an inlet and an outlet, a pump disposed at the outlet of the continuous mixer, and a disperger having an inlet and an outlet. The continuous mixer is adapted to receive at least one dry ingredient and at least one wet ingredient at the inlet and continuously mix the at least one dry ingredient and the at least one wet ingredient to form a mixed composition. The pump is adapted to pump the mixed composition from the outlet of the continuous mixer to the inlet of the disperger. The disperger is adapted to receive the mixed composition and apply a shear force to the mixed composition to form a homogenized, disperged composition.

Mineral roofing granules and methods for making them

The present disclosure relates to roofing granules, such as solar-reflective roofing granules having one or more of low crystalline silica content, high stain resistance and algae resistance. The present disclosure provides a mineral roofing granule having at its mineral outer surface a first fired mixture comprising an aluminosilicate clay, the first fired material having no more than 2 wt % crystalline silica. The present disclosure also provides a mineral roofing granule having a mineral body and a mineral outer surface, the mineral roofing granule having at its mineral outer surface a first fired material, the first fired material being a first fired mixture comprising an aluminosilicate clay; one or more of a feldspar, a sodium silicate and a nepheline syenite; and, optionally, a zinc source.

CERAMIC ADDITIVE FORMULATION AND METHOD OF MAKING
20170258092 · 2017-09-14 ·

A method of making a ceramic glaze formulation having an antimicrobial property for use with a ceramic article. The method comprises fritting an antimicrobial formulation in a flux frit, providing least one unfritted antimicrobial component, providing a silver carrier in a glass matrix, and combining the flux frit, the at least one unfritted component, and the silver carrier in the glass matrix to form the ceramic glaze formulation. The silver carrier is combined at an addition rate based on a dry weight basis of the ceramic glaze formulation. A ceramic glaze additive formulation and ceramic glazed article are also provided.

Antifungal Wallboards

A wallboard comprising a gypsum core and a facing layer, containing a fungicidally effective amount of thiabendazole (TBZ) and 2-butyl-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BBIT).

Multiple Crystallization Enhance (MCE) Intermix for Portland Cement Concrete
20220127199 · 2022-04-28 ·

A water-based mixture of multi compounds for adding to fresh concrete to protect the concrete against moisture and moisture-associated problems. A hygroscopic and hydrophilic behavior of its crystallization system within a concrete matrix minimizes moisture transmission through capillaries and connected voids. As a result, the mixture may reduce moisture related problems, such as damage caused by repeated freeze and thaw cycles and chloride ion penetration as from deicing salts, as well as alkali-silica reactions, and other problems.
