OXIDATION PROTECTION WITH IMPROVED WATER RESISTANCE FOR COMPOSITES
Systems and methods for forming an oxidation protection system on a composite structure are provided. In various embodiments, the oxidation protection system comprises a boron-glass layer formed on the composite substrate and a silicon-glass layer formed over the boron-glass layer. Each of the boron-glass layer and the silicon-glass layer includes a glass former.

MULTILAYER COIL COMPONENT
A multilayer coil component that includes a multilayer body in which a plurality of insulating layers are stacked in a stacking direction and a coil inside the multilayer body, and outer electrodes that are on surfaces of the multilayer body and are electrically connected to the coil. The insulating layers include a spinel-structure ferrite phase and a ZnFe(BO.sub.3)O-type crystalline phase.
Electronic component
An electronic component that has fewer cracks during production is provided. The electronic component includes an outer electrode on a multilayer body, which includes an inner glass layer, a magnetic material layer on top and bottom surfaces of the inner glass layer, and an outer glass layer on top and bottom surfaces of the magnetic material layer. The insulating layers of the inner glass layer and the outer glass layers contain a dielectric glass material that contains a glass material containing at least K, B, and Si, quartz, and alumina. The glass material content of each insulating layer of the inner glass layer ranges from approximately 60%-65% by weight, the quartz content of each insulating layer of the inner glass layer ranges from approximately 34%-37% by weight, and the alumina content of each insulating layer of the inner glass layer ranges from approximately 0.5%-4% by weight.
GLASS-CERAMIC-FERRITE COMPOSITION AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENT
A glass-ceramic-ferrite composition containing a glass, a ferrite, and a ceramic filler, in which the glass contains, by weight, about 0.5% to about 5.0% R.sub.2O (R represents at least one selected from the group consisting of Li, Na, and K), about 5.0% or less Al.sub.2O.sub.3, about 10.0% to about 25.0% B.sub.2O.sub.3, and about 70.0% to 85.0% SiO.sub.2 with respect to the total weight of the glass, the percentage by weight of the ferrite is about 10% to 80% with respect to the total weight of the composition, the ceramic filler contains at least forsterite selected from forsterite and quartz, the percentage by weight of the forsterite is about 1% to about 10% with respect to the total weight of the composition, and the percentage by weight of the quartz is about 40% or less with respect to the total weight of the composition.
CERAMIC MATRIX COMPOSITE ARTICLE AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A method includes forming a ceramic matrix composite component by infiltrating an array of ceramic-based fibers with a ceramic-based matrix; forming a plurality of cooling holes in the ceramic matrix composite component; applying a slurry of particles in a carrier fluid to the ceramic matrix composite component such that the slurry passes through the cooling holes and wicks into the ceramic matrix composite material; and processing the ceramic matrix composite component to remove the carrier fluid, thereby leaving a filler at a wall surface of the plurality of cooling holes. A component is also disclosed.
LOW-TEMPERATURE CO-FIRED MICROWAVE DIELECTRIC CERAMIC MATERIAL AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A low-temperature, high stability co-fired microwave dielectric composite of ceramic and glass, including 85-99 wt % microwave dielectric ceramic of formula [1-y-z[(1−x)Mg.sub.2SiO.sub.4−xCa.sub.2SiO.sub.4]−yCaTiO.sub.3−zCaZrO.sub.3, wherein 0.2≦x≦0.7,0.05≦y≦0.3 and 0.02≦z≦0.15], and 1 to 15 wt % with Li.sub.2O—BaO—SrO—CaO—B.sub.2O.sub.3—SiO.sub.2 glass respectively made at a low sintering temperature of ceramic for co-firing with Ag or Cu electrode, employing eutectic phase of ceramic oxides to reduce its melting temperature, a low melting-point glass material with high chemical stability as a sintering aid added to oxides and raw material powders of Li.sub.2O, BaO, SrO, CaO, B.sub.2O.sub.3 and SiO.sub.2, obtained by combining and melting the ingredients in the temperature range between 1000 to 1300° C., quenching and crashing, and then adding it to the main ceramic oxides to form the final composition. This ceramic/glass composite material may be co-fired with an Ag and Cu electrode at 900° C.-970° C. for 0.5-4 hours in a protective atmosphere. After sintering, this dielectric material possesses efficacious microwave dielectric properties, dielectric constant between middle-K to low-K at 8.sup.−15, high quality factors, low dielectric loss, low temperature-capacitance coefficient and superior chemical stability suitable for manufacture of multilayer ceramic devices.

A ceramic green sheet where the proportion of a Si-containing constituent coating the surface of barium titanate-based ceramic particles is 95% or higher, and the proportion of a rare-earth element-containing constituent coating the surface of the barium titanate-based ceramic particle is 85% or higher.
BUILDING LARGE PORCELAIN PANEL
An object of the present invention is to provide a building large porcelain panel that prevents the efflorescence.
As the solutions, a building large porcelain panel according to the present invention is formed by kneading a raw material formulation containing, as a main material, a refractory aggregate, a glassy raw material, and cement, and subjecting the raw material formulation to molding and then firing, wherein the building large porcelain panel has a Na.sub.2O content of 1 mass% or less in an entire chemical-component composition of the building large porcelain panel fired. In addition, the building large porcelain panel has a Na2O content of 1% or less and containing 0.5 to 7% of BaO and 0.5 to 8% of B.sub.2O.sub.3 (12% or less of the BaO and the B.sub.2O.sub.3) at mass-based chemical component values.

An ink of the formula: 60-80% by weight BaTiO.sub.3 particles coated with SiO.sub.2; 5-50% by weight high dielectric constant glass; 0.1-5% by weight surfactant; 5-25% by weight solvent; and 5-25% weight organic vehicle. Also a method of manufacturing a capacitor comprising the steps of: heating particles of BaTiO.sub.3 for a special heating cycle, under a mixture of 70-96% by volume N.sub.2 and 4-30% by volume H.sub.2 gas; depositing a film of SiO.sub.2 over the particles; mechanically separating the particles; incorporating them into the above described ink formulation; depositing the ink on a substrate; and heating at 850-900° C. for less than 5 minutes and allowing the ink and substrate to cool to ambient in N.sub.2 atmosphere. Also a dielectric made by: heating particles of BaTiO.sub.3 for a special heating cycle, under a mixture of 70-96% by volume N.sub.2 and 4-30% by volume H.sub.2 gas; depositing a film of SiO.sub.2 over the particles; mechanically separating the particles; forming them into a layer; and heating at 850-900° C. for less than 5 minutes and allowing the layer to cool to ambient in N.sub.2 atmosphere.
