The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a dental restoration, in which an oxide ceramic material is (a) subjected to at least one heat treatment, and (b) cooled, wherein the cooling comprises (b1) a first cooling step with the cooling rate T1 and (b2) a second cooling step with the cooling rate T2 and wherein the absolute value of the cooling rate T2 is less than the absolute value of the cooling rate T1.
Multilayer electronic component and method for manufacturing multilayer electronic component
A multilayer electronic component includes a multilayer body including dielectric layers and inner electrode layers, the multilayer body including an electrode facing portion in which the inner electrode layers are laminated to face each other with the dielectric layers interposed therebetween. The multilayer body has a thickness of at least about 1.5 mm in a lamination direction, a length of at least about 3.0 mm, and a width of at least about 1.5 mm. Each of the dielectric layers includes Ba, Ti, and Cl. A Cl concentration C.sub.1 in the entire electrode facing portion satisfies about 10 wtppm<C.sub.1<about 50 wtppm. On an imaginary central axis line, a Cl concentration C.sub.2 in a central portion of the electrode facing portion and a Cl concentration C.sub.3 in both end portions of the electrode facing portion satisfy about 0.5C.sub.2≤C.sub.3<C.sub.2.
COATED ZIRCONIA FINE PARTICLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Coated zirconia fine particle containing a zirconia fine particle and a coating layer coating the surface of the fine particle. The coating layer includes one or more metal elements selected from Mg, Ca, Al and rare-earth elements, and the coated zirconia fine particle has an average particle size of 3 to 100 nm and a specific surface area of 20 to 500 m.sup.2/g.
Method for producing a ceramic moulded body
The invention relates to a method for producing a ceramic moulded body, comprising the following steps: a) producing a green body containing ceramic material, binding agents and an organic pore forming agent; b) heating the green body to a temperature higher than the sublimation and/or decomposition temperature of the pore forming agent; c) burning the green body to form a ceramic moulded body. According to the invention, the binding agent comprises polyglycols and fumaric acid.

The invention relates to a ceramic material, comprising lead zirconate titanate, which additionally contains K and optionally Cu. The ceramic material can be used in an electroceramic component, for example a piezoelectric actuator. The invention also relates to methods for producing the ceramic material and the electronic component.
HIGH THERMAL CONDUCTIVE SILICON NITRIDE SINTERED BODY, AND SILICON NITRIDE SUBSTRATE AND SILICON NITRIDE CIRCUIT BOARD AND SEMICONDUCTOR APPARATUS USING THE SAME
The present invention provides a high thermal conductive silicon nitride sintered body having a thermal conductivity of 50 W/m.Math.K or more and a three-point bending strength of 600 MPa or more, wherein when an arbitrary cross section of the silicon nitride sintered body is subjected to XRD analysis and highest peak intensities detected at diffraction angles of 29.3±0.2°, 29.7±0.2°, 27.0±0.2°, and 36.1±0.2° are expressed as I.sub.29.3°, I.sub.29.7°, I.sub.27.0°, and I.sub.36.1°, a peak ratio (I.sub.29.3°)/(I.sub.27.0°+I.sub.36.1°) satisfies a range of 0.01 to 0.08, and a peak ratio (I.sub.29.7°)/(I.sub.27.0°+I.sub.36.1°) satisfies a range of 0.02 to 0.16. Due to above configuration, there can be provided a silicon nitride sintered body having a high thermal conductivity of 50 W/m.Math.K or more, and excellence in insulating properties and strength.
METHOD FOR PREPARING A MATERIAL MADE FROM ALUMINOSILICATE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL HAVING AN ALUMINOSILICATE MATRIX
The invention relates to a method for preparing a material based on an aluminosilicate selected from barium aluminosilicate BAS, barium-strontium aluminosilicate BSAS, and strontium aluminosilicate SAS, said aluminosilicate consisting of aluminosilicate with a hexagonal structure, characterised in that it includes a single sintering step in which a mixture of powders of precursors of said aluminosilicate, including an aluminium hydroxide Al(OH).sub.3 powder, are sintered by a hot-sintering technique with a pulsed electric field SPS; whereby a material based on an aluminosilicate, said aluminosilicate consisting of an aluminosilicate with a hexagonal structure is obtained. The material based on an aluminosilicate prepared by said method can be used in a method for preparing a composite material consisting of an aluminosilicate matrix reinforced by reinforcements made of metalloid or metal oxide.
Systems and Methods for Enabling Communication Between USB Type-C Connections and Legacy Connections Over an Extension Medium
Techniques for supporting USB and video communication over an extension medium are provided. In some embodiments, an upstream facing port device (UFP device) is coupled to legacy connectors of a host device, and a downstream facing port device (DFP device) is coupled to a USB Type-C receptacle of the sink device that may provide both USB and DisplayPort information. The UFP device and DFP device communicate to properly configure the USB Type-C connection for use in the extension environment. In some embodiments, a source device is coupled to the UFP device via a USB Type-C connection, and legacy video and USB devices are coupled to the DFP device. The UFP device and DFP device again communicate to cause the source device to properly configure the USB Type-C connection for use in the extension environment.
BINDER FOR INJECTION MOULDING COMPOSITION
A binder for an injection moulding composition, the binder includes, in percentage by mass and for a total of 100%: 35% to 60% of a component (a), or polymer base, made of a polymer or a mixture of polymers, each of the polymer being non-amphiphilic and having a mass average molar mass greater than or equal to 5,000 g/mol, 30% to 55% of a component (b), or wax, made of a polymer or a mixture of polymers, each of the polymer being non-amphiphilic and having a mass average molar mass less than 5,000 g/mol, and less than 10% of an amphiphilic component (c), or surfactant, and less than 10% of other components (d). The polymer base comprising 2% to 15% of a styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene copolymer (SEBS), in percentage by mass based on the mass of the binder.
TABLETED ALPHA-ALUMINA CATALYST SUPPORT
A tableted catalyst support, characterized by an alpha-alumina content of at least 85 wt.-%, a pore volume of at least 0.40 mL/g, as determined by mercury porosimetry, and a BET surface area of 0.5 to 5.0 m.sup.2/g. The tableted catalyst support is an alpha-alumina catalyst support obtained with high geometrical precision and displaying a high overall pore volume, thus allowing for impregnation with a high amount of silver, while exhibiting a surface area sufficiently large so as to provide optimal dispersion of catalytically active species, in particular metal species. The invention further provides a process for producing a tableted alpha-alumina catalyst support, which comprises i) forming a free-flowing feed mixture comprising, based on inorganic solids content, at least 50 wt.-% of a transition alumina; ii) tableting the free-flowing feed mixture to obtain a compacted body; and iii) heat treating the compacted body at a temperature of at least 1100° C., preferably at least 1300° C., more preferably at least 1400° C., in particular at least 1450° C., to obtain the tableted alpha-alumina catalyst support. The invention moreover relates to a compacted body obtained by tableting a free-flowing feed mixture which comprises, based on inorganic solids content, at least 50 wt.-% of a transition alumina having a loose bulk density of at most 600 g/L, a pore volume of at least 0.6 mL/g, as determined, and a median pore diameter of at least 15 nm. The invention moreover relates to a shaped catalyst body for producing ethylene oxide by gas-phase oxidation of ethylene, comprising at least 15 wt.-% of silver, relative to the total weight of the catalyst, deposited on the tableted alpha-alumina catalyst support. The invention moreover relates to a process for producing ethylene oxide by gas-phase oxidation of ethylene, comprising reacting ethylene and oxygen in the presence of the shaped catalyst body.
