An aerospace component may comprise a fiber reinforced composite material. The fiber reinforced composite material includes a plurality of fiber layers and a carbon matrix surrounding the plurality of fiber layers. A plurality of ceramic particles is dispersed in the carbon matrix. A first fiber layer of the plurality of fiber layers may include a carbon fiber, and a second fiber layer of the plurality of fiber layers may include a non-carbon fiber. A hardness of the non-carbon fiber is greater than a hardness of carbon fiber.
INSULATED CIRCUIT BOARD
In an insulating circuit substrate, aluminum sheets formed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy are laminated and bonded to a surface of a ceramic substrate and, in the aluminum sheets, Cu is solid-solubilized at a bonding interface with the ceramic substrate and a ratio B/A between a Cu concentration A mass % at the bonding interface and a Cu concentration B mass % at a position of 100 μm in a thickness direction from the bonding interface to the aluminum sheets side is 0.30 or more and 0.85 or less.
Low thermal stress engineered metal structures
A structured multi-phase composite which include a metal phase, and a low stiffness, high thermal conductivity phase or encapsulated phase change material, that are arranged to create a composite having high thermal conductivity, having reduced/controlled stiffness, and a low CTE to reduce thermal stresses in the composite when exposed to cyclic thermal loads. The structured multi-phase composite is useful for use in structures such as, but not limited to, high speed engine ducts, exhaust-impinged structures, heat exchangers, electrical boxes, heat sinks, and heat spreaders.
Method for producing a blank, blank and a dental restoration
The invention relates to a blank of a ceramic material, wherein a first ceramic material and then a second ceramic material of different compositions are filled into a die and wherein the materials are pressed and after pressing are sintered. A layer of the first ceramic material is thereby filled into the die and a first cavity formed in the layer, the second ceramic material is then filled into the first open cavity and the materials pressed together and then heat-treated.
Preform for the production of a dental prosthesis
A preform intended for the production of a dental prosthesis. The preform includes a group of agglomerated ceramic, glass-ceramic or glass particles, such that, as volume percents: more than 40% and less than 90% of the particles of said group have a size greater than 0.5 μm and less than 3.5 μm, said particles hereinafter being denoted “enamel particles”, and more than 10% and less than 60% of the particles of said group have a size greater than 3.5 μm and less than 5.5 μm, said particles hereinafter being denoted “dentine particles.” The microstructure of the preform is such that there is an axis X, termed “axis of variation”, along which the Ve/(Ve+Vd) ratio changes continuously, Ve and Vd denoting the volume percents of enamel particles and of dentine particles, respectively. The enamel and dentine particles representing, together, more than 90% of the volume of the agglomerated particles.
VAPORIZER AND CERAMIC VAPORIZATION CORE THEREOF AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING CERAMIC VAPORIZATION CORE
A ceramic vaporization core includes: a porous body; and a heating body disposed on the porous body. The porous body includes at least one porous ceramic layer doped with a hydroxyl group-containing matrix. In an embodiment, the porous ceramic layer doped with the hydroxyl group-containing matrix includes components in parts by weight as follows: 35 to 55 parts by weight of a ceramic powder doped with a hydroxyl group compound; and 25 to 45 parts by weight of a pore-forming agent.
CERAMIC ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME
A ceramic electronic device includes a multilayer structure in which each of a plurality of internal electrode layers and each of three or more of dielectric layers of which a main component is ceramic are alternately stacked. The three or more of dielectric layers include Sn. A dielectric layer having a smaller Sn concentration is closer to an outermost end in a stacking direction than a dielectric layer having a larger Sn concentration and being located on a center side of the stacking direction, in a relationship of at least two of the three or more of dielectric layers.
JOINT SURFACE COATINGS FOR CERAMIC COMPONENTS
An example article may include a component, a substrate including a first ceramic, a joining layer between the component and the substrate, and a joint surface coating between the substrate and the joining layer.
