Chemical products for adhesive applications
The embodiments described herein generally relate to methods and chemical compositions for coating substrates with a composition. In one embodiment, an adhesive composition is provided comprising a reaction product of a polyacid selected from the group consisting of an aromatic polyacid, an aliphatic polyacid, an aliphatic polyacid with an aromatic group, and combinations thereof, or a diglycidyl ether; and a polyamine; and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of a branched aliphatic acid, a cyclic aliphatic acid with a cyclic aliphatic group, a linear aliphatic, and combinations thereof. The adhesive composition may be used to cover a substrate.

SELF-HEALING POLYMER-MODIFIED CEMENTS FOR AMBIENT TEMPERATURE APPLICATIONS
Examples of new polymer-modified cement formulations with self-healing capability at ambient temperature are described. These polymer-modified cements can be readily mixed with typical fine and coarse aggregates to build new concrete structures. One example of such a formulation includes a concrete comprising a MBA-BDA polymer having bond forming chemical functionality configured to form a bonding matrix between the polymer and at least one component of the concrete at a temperature less than 50 degrees C. wherein the matrix obtains at least 70% recovery of compressive strength after a damage event.

Wall compounds and methods of use
A wall compound for use in all applications and particularly well-suited for joining adjacent wallboards. The compound includes a latex resin, a thickener, fibers, and a filler material. In some embodiments, the repair compound is configured to exhibit at least one of yield stress and pseudoplastic-type behavior. In some embodiments, the compound includes hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibers of different morphologies. In some embodiments, the wall compound includes one or more associative thickeners.

Organic-inorganic composite containing ceramic particles having fine projections on surface thereof
An organic-inorganic composite including: a plurality of anisotropic ceramic particles having different aspect ratios; a resin that is combined with the ceramic particles; and a plurality of projections projecting out from the surface of the ceramic particles, thereby increasing the shear resistance of the interface between the ceramic particles and the resin. At least some of the ceramic particles neighboring each other are closely arranged such that the projections partially contact each other, thereby increasing the shear resistance between the ceramic particles due to the contacting ceramic particles.
