SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DRYING SKINNED CERAMIC WARES USING RECYCLED MICROWAVE RADIATION
Systems and methods for drying skinned ceramic wares (10) using recycled microwave radiation are disclosed. The method includes irradiating wet skinned ceramic wares (10W) in a first applicator section (124W) with microwave radiation (212), wherein said irradiating (212) gives rise to reflected microwave radiation (212R). The method also includes capturing a portion of the reflected microwave radiation (212R) and irradiating a plurality of semi-dry skinned ceramic wares (105) in a second applicator section (124S) with the reflected microwave radiation (212R). Systems for carrying out the method are also disclosed.
SYSTEM FOR CONSTRUCTING BUILDING MATERIAL FROM LUNAR SOIL AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
A system and associated method constructs a building material from lunar soil. A magnetic sorter magnetically sorts the lunar soil and the system creates a layered surface comprising a microwave susceptible, thermal conductive top layer of lunar soil and a poorly microwave-susceptible and poorly thermally conductive sublayer of lunar soil. A microwave generator generates microwave energy into an antenna and directs the microwave energy onto the top layer of lunar soil to sinter the microwave susceptible, thermal conductive top layer of lunar soil.
HYDROPHOBIC ADMIXTURE AND PROCESSES FOR MAKING SAME
A hydrophobic admixture may include titanium dioxide at about 1-16.5 weight % (wt %) of the hydrophobic admixture. The hydrophobic admixture can include a carbon allotrope at about 1-38.5 wt % of the hydrophobic admixture. The hydrophobic admixture may include calcium salt at about 25-82.5 wt % of the hydrophobic admixture. The hydrophobic admixture may include calcium stearate at about 15-27.5 wt % of the hydrophobic admixture. The hydrophobic admixture may include magnesium carbonate at about 0-11 wt % of the hydrophobic admixture.
Device and method for heating and curing artificial stone with microwave
A device and a method for heating and curing artificial stone with microwave are provided. The device includes a microwave curing cavity, within which an incompletely cured artificial stone is placed, and microwave is used to heat the artificial stone to completely cure the artificial stone; wherein, a frequency of the microwave is in a range of 3001120 MHz. The present disclosure provides a separately designed microwave curing cavity, and utilizes 3001120 MHz microwave having a large penetrating depth, to realize a rapid curing of a large-sized artificial stone.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOLDED PART FROM GLASS FIBER AND/OR MINERAL FIBER MATERIAL, MOLDED PART WHICH CAN BE OBTAINED USING SAID METHOD, AND MANUFACTURING UNIT FOR THIS PURPOSE
The invention relates to a method for producing a molded part from glass fiber and/or mineral fiber material with an inorganic binder. The inorganic binder is cured using electromagnetic radiation in order to form the molded part. The tool is designed to be at least partly permeable for the electromagnetic radiation for curing purposes, and the inorganic binder is a binder which can be cured by electromagnetic radiation. The invention further relates to a molded part which can be obtained in the aforementioned manner. Finally, the invention relates to a manufacturing unit for producing a molded part from glass fiber and/or mineral fiber material and an inorganic binder. The manufacturing unit comprises a device for providing a tool for forming the molded part, a device for introducing the glass fiber and/or mineral fiber material and the inorganic binder into the tool, a device for generating electromagnetic radiation to cure the inorganic binder in order to form a molded part, and optionally a device for removing the molded part from the tool.

Functionalized brine sludge material and a process for the preparation thereof
Brine sludge is an industrial waste generated in chloral alkali industry. The generated brine sludge waste is dumped into landfills and contains barium sulphate, calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, sodium chloride, clay, and toxic elements like chromium, zinc, copper, and vanadium, therefore posing an environmental threat. Consequently, there is an urgent need to convert toxic brine sludge waste into its non-toxic form. The present invention thus aims to achieve total utilization of this brine sludge for making functionalized brine sludge material useful for a broad application spectrum.
