METHOD OF MINERALIZATION OF CO2 IN INORGANIC POLYMERS (GEOPOLYMERS)
A process of sequestering CO.sub.2 is generally described. The process involves the use of geopolymeric precursors to which the CO.sub.2 is added. The process for a solid, cementitious material comprising geopolymer(s) and CO.sub.2.
Sustainable Supply of Recipe Components for Ceramic Composites Produced by Hydrothermal Liquid Phase Sintering
A method for preparing a ceramic composition while simultaneously reducing the quantity of carbon dioxide from municipal solid waste that would discharge into environment includes decomposing the municipal solid waste to generate a carbon dioxide-water vapor mixture, providing a matrix, the matrix containing a reactant; and contacting the carbon dioxide-water vapor mixture with the matrix to promote a reaction between the carbon dioxide of the carbon dioxide-water vapor mixture and the reactant of the matrix. The reaction forms a product, thereby producing the ceramic composition.
INSULATED CONCRETE SLIP FORM AND METHOD OF ACCELERATING CONCRETE CURING USING SAME
The invention comprises a concrete form. The form comprises a first concrete forming panel having a first primary surface adapted for forming and contacting plastic concrete and a second primary surface opposite the first primary surface; a layer of insulating material contacting and substantially covering the second primary surface of the first concrete forming panel; and an insulating blanket adjacent the first concrete forming panel. A method of using the concrete form is also disclosed.

TREATED CEMENT MATERIALS AND METHODS
Disclosed herein are thermodynamically stable cement systems comprising a curing agent mixed with a CAC. The curing agent can be hydrophilic to attract bound water. In such a manner, the addition of the curing agent can treat the CAC. The treated material can then be cured to form a thermodynamically stable cement material. The curing agent can comprise a natural fiber material that comprises cellulose. Alternatively, or in addition, the curing agent can comprise cellulose nanoparticles, such as cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) or cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs). Also disclosed herein are methods of making the same.
Method and apparatus for curing CO.SUB.2 .composite material objects at near ambient temperature and pressure
Apparatus and methods for curing composite compositions that react with CO.sub.2. The apparatus in general includes an easily transportable and easily assembled curing structure, such as a plastic sheet housing supported by gas pressure and/or by mechanical supports. Apparatus for providing reagent CO.sub.2, for measuring water content and for removing water, and for controlling temperature, flow rates and flow directions through the curing structure. Examples of curing procedures and examples of cured materials in desired shapes are described.
Method for manufacturing an engineered stone and an engineered stone
A method for manufacturing an engineered stone, the method including: providing a mixture comprising at least a stone or stone like material and a binder; compacting the mixture; curing the binder; and further comprising printing a printed pattern on at least a top surface of the engineered stone.
INTEGRATED CARBON DIOXIDE CAPTURE
A method/system for sequestering carbon dioxide from cement and lime production facilities wherein carbon dioxide from flue gases originating from cement or lime production facilities is recovered and transported to a building materials production facility where it is sequestered.
Composite architectural ultra-high performance porcelain concrete (CA-UHPPC) panels and method of producing the same
Disclosed in the present invention is a building with integral thermal insulation and heat shielding, in the technical field of construction engineering. The problem to be solved is to provide a building with integral thermal insulation and heat shielding, and the solution employed is as follows: a building with integral thermal insulation and heat shielding, which at least uses one of an inorganic thermal insulation structural layer and an inorganic thermal insulation layer; the inorganic thermal insulation structural layer is formed of one of, or a combination of both of, inorganic, thermally-insulating, heat-shielding and load-bearing concrete and inorganic, thermally-insulating, load-bearing building blocks; the inorganic, thermally-insulating, heat-shielding and load-bearing concrete has the following components in weight proportions: concrete composite light aggregate blending material: cement:sand:stone:ceramsite:fly ash:water:concrete admixture=(6−225):(200-800):(300-700):(500-1600):(150-650):(10-600):(80-400):(0.1-200). The present invention can be widely applied to the technical field of construction.
METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF GRANULAR MATERIALS DESIGNED TO BE USED FOR MANUFACTURING ARTICLES IN SLAB OR BLOCK FORM FROM A MIX
Method for the production of granular materials designed to be used as aggregates and fillers in a mix containing a binder for the manufacture of articles in slab or block form. The method comprises a step of melting a mixture of selected minerals having a specific chemical composition, a step of casting the molten material, a step of cooling the cast material until a predetermined temperature is reached and a step of crushing and/or grinding the cooled material to obtain granular materials having a selected particle size and suitable for use as aggregates or fillers in the mix for the manufacture of articles in slab or block form. Moreover, the method comprises, upstream of the melting step, a step for recovery and collection of the manufacturing waste of other previously manufactured articles. The manufacturing waste is designed to compose at least partially the mixture of selected minerals. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing articles in slab or block form from a mix containing the aggregates and the fillers and a binder.
