DEHYDROGENATION CATALYST
A dehydrogenation catalyst for producing propylene by a dehydrogenation reaction of propane, the dehydrogenation catalyst including a platinum element and an element M1 and may contain an element M2 as active components, wherein the element M1 is one or more elements selected from the group consisting of a gallium element, a cobalt element, a copper element, a germanium element, a tin element and an iron element, the element M2 is one or more elements selected from the group consisting of a lead element and a calcium element, and the platinum element and the element M1 form an alloy.
One Pot Synthesis of Urea (Meth)Acrylates
A one-pot synthesis of polymerizable and acyclic urea (meth)acrylates, preferably mono(meth)acrylates, can be performed via in-situ synthesis of urea alcohols or amines followed by direct reaction with a (meth)acrylate reactive diluent. The urea alcohol/amine is obtained from isocyanates and alcohols, amines, or hydroxyamines. Subsequently, the reaction with the (meth)acrylate reactive diluent takes place and the urea (meth)acrylate is directly obtained either in solution with the reactive diluent, or as a pure material after removal of the reactive diluent.
OCM CATALYST COMPOSITION HAVING IMPROVED STABILITY AND CARBON EFFICIENCY
The invention relates to a composition containing a catalyst having high catalytic stability for conducting oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) at high carbon efficiency, while improving both methane and oxygen conversion. Particularly, the inventive catalyst is a metal oxide supported catalyst, which contains an alkali metal promoter and a mixed metal oxide component having at least one alkali earth metal and at least one rare earth metal. The metal oxide support is selected in a manner, such that at least a portion of the metal oxide support is capable of reacting with at least a part or whole of the alkali metal promoter under conditions of calcination during catalyst preparation. The invention further provides a method for preparing such a metal oxide supported catalyst composition, using a calcination process. Additionally, the invention further describes a process for producing C.sub.2+ hydrocarbons, using such a catalyst composition.
Method for Producing Conjugated Diene
Provided is a technique of producing isoprene from 3-methyl-1,3-butanediol or 1,3-butadiene from 1,3-butanediol by using a single catalyst. A catalyst produces a conjugated diene containing zirconium oxide and calcium oxide in order to produce isoprene by removing two water molecules from one 3-methyl-1,3-butanediol molecule or produce 1,3-butadiene by removing two water molecules from one 1,3-butanediol molecule. Furthermore, a method for producing a conjugated diene includes a step of obtaining a fluid containing a conjugated diene that is isoprene or 1,3-butadiene by bringing a fluid containing 3-methyl-1,3-butanediol or a fluid containing 1,3-butanediol into contact with the catalyst for producing a conjugated diene as a single catalyst so as to cause a dehydration reaction to proceed.
