Olefin production via dry reforming and olefin synthesis in a vessel
A system and method for producing olefin via dry reforming and olefin synthesis in the same vessel, including providing feed including methane and carbon dioxide to the vessel, converting methane and carbon dioxide in the vessel into syngas (that includes hydrogen and carbon monoxide) via dry reforming in the vessel, and cooling the syngas via a heat exchanger in the vessel. The method includes synthesizing olefin from the syngas in the vessel, wherein the olefin includes ethylene, propylene, or butene, or any combinations thereof.
Process for manufacture of 2-chloro-1,1,1-trifluoropropene
The present invention pertains to a novel process of manufacturing the compound 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (1234yf). The compound 1234yf is the newest refrigerant with zero OPD (Ozone Depleting Potential) and zero GWP (Global Warming Potential). Thus, the invention relates to a process, involving a carbene generation route, for the manufacture of the compound 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (1234yf), of the compound 243db (2,3-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoropropane), and optionally of the compound 2-chloro-1,1,1-trifluoropropene (1233xf) via carbene route and compound 243db (2,3-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoropropane). The invention also relates to a process for the manufacture of the compound 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (1234yf), wherein the compound 243db (2,3-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoropropane) serves as a starting material, for the manufacture of the compound 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (1234yf). Further, the invention relates to a process for the manufacture of the compound 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (1234yf), and of the compound 243db (2,3-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoropropane), the initial starting materials are selected from the group consisting of compound 123 (2,2-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoroethane), compound 124 (2-chloro-1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane), and compound 125 (pentafluoroethane).
Hybrid catalyst for selective and stable olefin production
A process for preparing C.sub.2 to C.sub.5 olefins includes introducing a feed stream comprising hydrogen and at least one carbon-containing component selected from the group consisting of CO, CO.sub.2, and mixtures thereof into a reaction zone. The feed stream is contacted with a hybrid catalyst in the reaction zone, and a product stream is formed that exits the reaction zone and includes C.sub.2 to C.sub.5 olefins. The hybrid catalyst includes a methanol synthesis component and a solid microporous acid component that is selected from molecular sieves having 8-MR access and having a framework type selected from the group consisting of CHA, AEI, AFX, ERI, LTA, UFI, RTH, and combinations thereof. The methanol synthesis component comprises a metal oxide support and a metal catalyst. The metal oxide support includes titania, zirconia, hafnia or mixtures thereof, and the metal catalyst includes zinc.
Cu.SUB.y./MMgO.SUB.x .interfacial catalyst for selective alkyne hydrogenation and its preparation method
Cu.sub.y/MMgO.sub.x interfacial catalyst for selective alkyne hydrogenation and its preparation method are disclosed. The preparation method of the catalyst includes: the mixture of salt and alkali solution is nucleated momentarily by nucleation/crystallization isolation method, preparing the composite metal hydroxide Cu.sub.yMMg.sub.4-LDHs as precursor, which has typical hexagonal morphology of the double hydroxide; the precursor is topologically transformed by heat treatment to produce unsaturated oxide; the catalyst with Cu.sub.y-MMgO.sub.x interface structure is prepared by separating and electronically modifying Cu particles. By adjusting the ratio of Cu.sup.2+/M.sup.3+ in LDHs, the electronic and geometric structure of Cu.sub.y-MMgO.sub.x interface can be flexibly controlled, thus enhancing the reaction activity, product selectivity and stability. The catalyst can be used in the selective hydrogenation of various alkynes in the fields of petrochemical and fine chemical industry, with the outstanding catalytic activity and C═C double bond selectivity. The catalyst also has good reusability.

Provided is a catalyst for an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction that comprises: a porous support; a core portion supported on the porous support and containing a first zinc ferrite-based catalyst; and a shell portion supported on the core portion and containing a second zinc ferrite-based catalyst, in which the first zinc ferrite-based catalyst and the second zinc ferrite-based catalyst are different from each other.

Disclosed is a process for producing light olefins. In the process for producing light olefins by continuously bringing an alkane feedstock and a catalyst into contact to subject to a dehydrogenation reaction, the reaction pressure P of the dehydrogenation reaction is made 0.6-2 MPa and the volume space velocity H of the dehydrogenation reaction is made 500-1000 h.sup.−1. The light olefins production process of the present invention is simple and continuous in operation and has the characteristics of low investment, significant increase in yield of light olefins and high safety.

The disclosure provides an improved endothermic hydrocarbon conversion process that comprises reacting a hydrocarbon with a multi-component catalyst bed, and regenerating the catalyst bed with air, where the air used in regeneration step and hydrocarbon are at low air to hydrocarbon ratios and optionally at near-atmospheric pressures.
