A process for preparing C2 to C3 hydrocarbons may include introducing a feed stream including hydrogen gas and a carbon-containing gas comprising carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and mixtures thereof into a reaction zone of a reactor, and converting the feed stream into a product stream comprising C2 to C3 hydrocarbons in the reaction zone in the presence of a hybrid catalyst. The hybrid catalyst may include a metal oxide catalyst component and a microporous catalyst component comprising 8-MR pore openings less than or equal to 5.1 A and a cage defining ring size less than or equal to 7.45 A, where a C2/C3 carbon molar ratio of the product stream is greater than or equal to 0.7.
SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING OLEFINS
Olefins may be produced from C.sub.4-C.sub.6 saturated hydrocarbons by systems and methods comprising passing a feed comprising C.sub.4-C.sub.6 saturated hydrocarbons and hydrogen into a dehydrogenation unit to produce a dehydrogenation effluent, passing at least a portion of the dehydrogenation effluent into a hydrogenation unit to produce a hydrogenation effluent, and passing at least a portion of the hydrogenation effluent into a cracking unit to produce a cracking effluent comprising olefins. The dehydrogenation unit includes a dehydrogenation catalyst, the hydrogenation unit includes a hydrogenation catalyst, and the cracking unit includes a cracking catalyst.

Methods of regenerating aromatization catalysts with a decoking step between chlorine and fluorine addition
Methods for regenerating a spent catalyst are disclosed. Such methods may employ a step of chlorinating the spent catalyst in the gas phase, followed by decoking the chlorinated spent catalyst, and then fluorinating the de-coked catalyst in a fluorine-containing solution of a fluorine-containing compound.

CYCLIC COMPOUND AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CYCLIC COMPOUND
An embodiment of a method for producing a cyclic compound of the present invention includes a step of causing a decarboxylation reaction in a cyclic carboxylic acid compound by subjecting a starting material containing the cyclic carboxylic acid compound to a heat treatment of heating under a catalyst to obtain a cyclic compound, in which the catalyst includes zeolite formed of an aluminum/silicon-containing composite oxide, and in which the zeolite has an SiO.sub.2/Al.sub.2O.sub.3 ratio of 7 to 500. In addition, another embodiment of the method for producing a cyclic compound of the present invention includes a step of causing a decarboxylation reaction in a cyclic carboxylic acid compound by subjecting a starting material containing the cyclic carboxylic acid compound to a heat treatment of heating in the presence of a non-solid acid to obtain a cyclic compound.
Production of jet and other heavy fuels from isobutanol
A process for the production of jet and other heavy fuels, the process including: contacting at least one C3 to C5 isoalkanol with a first catalyst to convert at least a portion of the isoalkanol to isoalkene, isoalkene dimers, and water; contacting at least a portion of the isoalkene dimers with a second catalyst to convert at least a portion of the isoalkene dimers to isoalkene trimers; hydrotreating the isoalkene trimers to form isoalkanes useful as a jet fuel, kerosene, or other heavy fuels.
