A PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF CEREAL FRACTIONS
A process for preparation of cereal fractions. The process comprises wet milling of oat grains or barley grains in the presence of an enzyme composition derived from malt; and when oat grains or barley grains are wet milled, optionally isolating, from the wet milled grains, a beta-glucan enriched fraction. Liquid and solid food products obtainable by the process.
BIODEGRADABLE COMPOSITE MATERIAL OF PURE AMYLOSE AND CELLULOSE NANOFIBRES OR CELLULOSE NANOCRYSTALS
Disclosed herein are composite materials comprising amylose, cellulose nanofibres or cellulose nanocrystals, and a plasticiser. The amylose is of high purity, specifically containing little or no amylopectin. The cellulose nanofibres or cellulose nanocrystals act to reinforce the disclosed composite materials. Also disclosed are methods of producing such composite materials, and their use.
METHOD FOR EXTRACTING PROTEIN, STARCH AND FIBER FROM BUCKWHEAT
The present invention relates to a method for extracting protein, starch and fibers from buckwheat, more particularly from buckwheat groat or flour.
Hybrid separation
This disclosure describes techniques for using a single feedstock of barley to produce a fermented product and a method for filtering a large-particles stream from a liquid stream containing small particles of a process stream using a series of mechanical separation devices to increase yield.
Milling process
Provided are processes for treating crop kernels which comprising the steps of a) soaking kernels in water to produce soaked kernels; b) grinding the soaked kernels; c) treating the soaked kernels in the presence of a polypeptide having protease activity.
Advanced cook technology
This disclosure describes providing techniques to treat large-size solids obtained from a slurry or a mash in dextrin production process as can be used in an alcohol production process. This disclosure describes a process for separating a large-particles stream from a liquid stream containing small particles of a process stream using a first mechanical separation device. The process further includes adding water to the large-particles stream to create a lower-solids stream in a cook tank. In an embodiment, the process may grind the large particles from the large-particles stream. In another embodiment, the process may adjust conditions (temperature, pH, processing aids addition) of the lower-solids stream in the cook tank and incubating for a predetermined amount of time. The process further includes separating components from the lower-solids stream by using a second mechanical separation device.

METHOD FOR PREPARING STARCH AND NON-THERMAL-DENATURATION PROTEIN POWDER BY USING RICE AS RAW MATERIAL
Provided is a method for preparing starch and a non-thermal-denaturation protein powder by using rice as a raw material. The method comprises: crushing, pulping, homogenizing and centrifugally removing water from rice to obtain a solid phase and wastewater; and adding a specific gravity regulator, i.e. a syrup, into the solid phase, and separating the material into three phases: a heavy phase, a light phase and a liquid phase, wherein the heavy phase is used for preparing starch, the light phase is used for preparing a protein powder and a syrup, part of the liquid phase is reused, and the other part of the liquid phase is used for preparing the syrup; the wastewater generated during the preparation process is reused for the preparation of a syrup material; and the syrup is used as the specific gravity regulator.
