Copolymers of halogenated olefins and halogenated co-monomers
Copolymers of one or more halogenated olefins and one or more halogenated co-monomers selected from the group consisting of halogenated alkenyl ethers, halogenated alkenyl esters, and halogenated (meth)acrylates are useful in various end-use applications wherein the presence of halogen (e.g., fluorine) in the copolymer imparts one or more desirable properties, as compared to analogous copolymers not containing halogen.
CURABLE FLUOROPOLYMER COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING BIS PHTHALONITRILE-CONTAINING COMPOUND AND CURED ARTICLES THEREFROM
Described herein are fluoropolymer compositions comprising a bis phthalonitrile-containing compound. In one embodiment, the bis phthalonitrile-containing compound is used to crosslink a dehydrohalogenated polymer, and optionally with a polyhydroxy curative. In another embodiment, the bis phthalonitrile-containing compound is added to a composition comprising (i) a fluorinated elastomeric gum, wherein the fluorinated elastomeric gum comprises a fluoropolymer having a cure-site and (ii) a peroxide curing system.
POLYMER COMPOSITION AND ION-EXCHANGE MEMBRANE
Provided are a polymer composition that can suppress bubbling during membrane formation and peeling of a laminated membrane and an ion-exchange membrane. The polymer composition is a polymer composition including: a fluorine-containing copolymer including a unit (a) derived from a perfluorovinyl compound having a side chain having an ionic group and a unit (b) derived from a fluoroolefin; and a low molecular weight compound (a) having a functional group represented by —COOX (X is H, NH.sub.4, or a monovalent metal ion), wherein a content of the low molecular weight compound (a) is 600 ppm or less based on a mass of the polymer composition.

Cross-Linkable Fluoropolymer Compositions
A cross-linkable composition includes an elastomeric fluoropolymer and a semi-crystalline fluoroplastic. The composition enables manufacturing of articles which maintain favorable mechanical properties (e.g. tensile strength, elongation and flexibility) when continuously exposed to extreme temperatures. In addition, a cross-linked product obtained by subjecting said composition to ionizing radiation is disclosed, which may be used in heat-shrinkable articles, cable jackets and sealing elements.
Fluorinated copolymer and compositions and articles including the same
The copolymer includes divalent units represented by formula —[CF.sup.2—CF.sup.2]—, divalent units represented by formula: (I), and one or more divalent units independently represented by formula: (II) When Z is hydrogen, the copolymer has an alpha transition temperature of up to 100 ?C. The copolymer has an —SO.sub.3Z equivalent weight in a range from 300 to 1400, and a variation of the copolymer in which —SO.sub.3Z is replaced with —SO.sub.2F has a melt flow index of up to 80 grams per ten minutes measured at a temperature of 265° C. and at a support weight of 5 kg. A catalyst ink or polymer electrolyte membrane including the copolymer are also provided. ##STR00001##
