An easily water-dismantlable adhesive composition containing a 2-cyanoacrylate compound represented by Formula (1): in which L.sup.1's each independently represent —CH.sub.2CH.sub.2—, —CH(R.sup.1)CH.sub.2—, or —CH.sub.2CH(R.sup.1)—, R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, p represents an integer of 3 to 6, and, among p -L.sup.1-O—'s in Formula (1), 2 to 4 -L.sup.1-O—'s are —CH.sub.2CH.sub.2—O—, and 0 to 2 -L.sup.1-O—'s are —CH(R.sup.1)CH.sub.2— and/or —CH.sub.2CH(R.sup.1)—O—.

EASILY WATER-DISMANTLABLE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
An easily water-dismantlable adhesive composition containing a 2-cyanoacrylate compound represented by Formula (1): in which L.sup.1's each independently represent —CH.sub.2CH.sub.2—, —CH(R.sup.1)CH.sub.2—, or —CH.sub.2CH(R.sup.1)—, R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, p represents an integer of 3 to 6, and, among p -L.sup.1-O—'s in Formula (1), 2 to 4 -L.sup.1-O—'s are —CH.sub.2CH.sub.2—O—, and 0 to 2 -L.sup.1-O—'s are —CH(R.sup.1)CH.sub.2— and/or —CH.sub.2CH(R.sup.1)—O—.

TWO-PART CURABLE COMPOSITION
The two-part curable composition has excellent curability, and exhibits flexibility and adhesion durability. The two-part curable composition includes a first reagent containing at least a 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester and a second reagent containing at least a polymer having a hydrolyzable silyl group, in which an elastomer and a curing catalyst for the above polymer are each contained in at least one of the first and second reagents in predetermined amounts. A preferable curing catalyst is a compound having a metal element and an organic group bonded to the metal element via oxygen, or an acid having a pKa of 4 or lower at 25° C. Preferably, a curing accelerator for 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester is contained in at least one of the first and second reagents.
2-CYANOACRYLATE COMPOUND AND ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
A 2-cyanoacrylate compound represented by Formula (1) and an adhesive composition containing the 2-cyanoacrylate compound represented by Formula (1). In Formula (1), R.sup.1 represents a divalent linking group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each independently represent an alkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, and R.sup.4 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms.

2-CYANOACRYLATE COMPOUND AND ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
A 2-cyanoacrylate compound represented by Formula (1) and an adhesive composition containing the 2-cyanoacrylate compound represented by Formula (1). In Formula (1), R.sup.1 represents a divalent linking group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each independently represent an alkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, and R.sup.4 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms.

Toughened cyanoacrylate compositions
Curable cyanoacrylate compositions are reported that comprise cyanoacrylate and a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) components. Such compositions are toughened cyanoacrylate compositions exhibiting long term viscosity stability when stored for prolonged periods at room temperature (25° C.). TPU components are reported having structural units in which at least one of the structural units has the formula —O—R.sup.1—O—Ar—O—R.sup.2—O—, wherein Ar is a C.sub.6-C.sub.20 aromatic group with at least one aromatic ring; R.sup.1 is a C.sub.2-C.sub.10 alkyl group; and R.sup.2 is a C.sub.2-C.sub.10 alkyl group. The thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) component may be present in the curable cyanoacrylate composition from about 1 wt % to about 40 wt %, for example from about 2 wt % to about 30 wt %, such from about 3 wt % to about 20 wt %, suitably from about 5 wt % to about 10 wt %, based on the total weight of the composition.
Toughened Cyanoacrylate Compositions
Curable cyanoacrylate compositions are reported that comprise cyanoacrylate and a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) components. Such compositions are toughened cyanoacrylate compositions exhibiting long term viscosity stability when stored for prolonged periods at room temperature (25 C.). TPU components are reported having structural units in which at least one of the structural units has the formula OR.sup.1OArOR.sup.2O, wherein Ar is a C.sub.6-C.sub.20 aromatic group with at least one aromatic ring; R.sup.1 is a C.sub.2-C.sub.10 alkyl group; and R.sup.2 is a C.sub.2-C.sub.10 alkyl group. The thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) component may be present in the curable cyanoacrylate composition from about 1 wt % to about 40 wt %, for example from about 2 wt % to about 30 wt %, such from about 3 wt % to about 20 wt %, suitably from about 5 wt % to about 10 wt %, based on the total weight of the composition.
